It’s Raining Dialogues In Tere Bin – Yet Again! And We’re Finding It Hard To Catch Up With Murtasim & Meerab’s War Of Words, But Hold On Tight As We Give You Last Night’s Episode Recap.

“Please Haya ko mere liye gaali mat banao, wo bhi is ghar ki beti hai uski izzat meri izzat hai”.
And here is another sixer from Murtasim.
The Rights Of A Wife Explained The Murtasim Way
“Biwi per shohar kay haqooq”…
From cheeky dialogues to books… poor Murtasim is trying his best to somehow awaken at least a hint of romantic feelings in Meerab.
The cute scenes between Meerab and Murtasim in the story are sending out just the right dose of romance, light hearted moments and some very intense, thought-provoking dialogues.
As Murtasim started saying “Aurat ko pata hona chahiyay woh aurat kiyon hai”… we held our breath, scared what he would say after that, but thank God Murtasim saved the day and balanced his narrative between men and women – that they both complete each other.
It’s Raining Dialogues In Tere Bin
His last dialogues did touch Meerab somewhere deep inside her. He knows exactly what to say to Meerab. Especially where he compares a man complimenting a woman on her beauty, on her sajna sawarna, it is like complimenting Meerab by saying “Tum mein itnee qabliyat hai, tum jo chahey ker suktee ho…”
He knew Meerab is not seeking compliments about her looks and beauty but validation or acceptance of her capabilities and her inner strength.
Underestimating Much?
However, this entire scene makes us wonder if Murtasim is underestimating Meerab. While he keeps saying that she is strong, she is brave and he admires her, why is he assuming she doesn’t know anything about the husband and wife’s rights over each other and everything else in that prolonged dialogue that he delivered to her. On the one hand, he seems to believe she is a force to be reckoned with and on the other hand, he seems to be treating her like this naïve, over protected girl who needs to be educated about life lessons.
Positive Notes
Appreciation for the drama, that instead of Murtasim degrading Haya, he respectfully advises Meerab to be careful about the language she uses for him and Haya. He is firm but gentle in his approach toward Haya.
Lekin soup khud pee letay, Haya kay haath sey nahin…:).
Looks like Ma Begum is genuinely giving Meerab a chance, guiding her and encouraging her towards Murtasim.
Meerab In Denial?
Was it Meerab’s denial to herself on not accepting anything positive about Murtasim, that instead of appreciating him for defending her, she marches out when Ma Begum and Haya interrogate her and Murtasim about the fish episode.
Afterthoughts
As we all enjoy watching Tere Bin, our question remains – Will Meerab be giving up on her dreams, will she be submitting to her situation if she admits her love for Murtasim and if she agrees to be his wife in everyway?
Is her denial, her rejection of her relationship a protest? Does Meerab represent all those girls whose dreams and ambitions are ignored and they have no choice but to accept their halaat? As audiences do we understand what Meerab’s actions or her ‘no’ signify or are we going to choose the love story of Meerab and Murtasim as Meerab’s final destination?
