Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha – What a relief to finally see Maheer do something. Neelo delivers much-needed advice to Maheer. Areeb manages to gain our sympathies finally and Saad as always, keeps winning our hearts.
The Old Maheer Resurfaces
Thanks to the last few episodes, we have been losing our patience with Maheer. But this episode made up for a lot. It was refreshing to see Maheer discouraging Areeb and telling him to go away. Maheer is not in love with Saad and still trying to figure out things. She also now knows that Areeb didn’t betray her. But despite all this, she chose to not go with him or talk to him. We respect her for this.
It was very thoughtful of Saad to give time and space to Maheer when he saw Areeb talking to her. Even in the car, he only spoke up when he noted that Maheer was visibly upset and crying.
Men Are Angels Or Are They Just Being Human?
We see the gradual return of the old Maheer when she tells Saad not to act like an angel. The drama presents a very interesting question for us – so if a person is really willing to do anything for you, especially a man, we think he is being an angel. But aren’t these the basic human expectations or traits that should be there…kindness, thoughtfulness, and care. Do we, as a society find the concept of a really nice man so alien that we call him an angel?
Neelo’s Meltdown Finally Hit Right
Neelo gives Maheer the advice that we all want to give her. When Neelo started her meltdown, it was a bit irritating as we expected her to start bashing Maheer all over again, but as she continued, she made sense. It was also heart-warming to see a sister feeling her brother’s pain. She was right, Maheer must see what her unhappiness is doing to Saad and if nothing else, she can be a good friend just like how Saad has been.
Should Saad tell Maheer?
Maybe if Saad told Maheer he loved her and this marriage is not out of sympathy, it might change Maheer’s thought process. Till now, no one has told her that he loves her. Everyone keeps reminding her how virtuous he was to marry her when Areeb ditched her. Areeb on the other hand keeps reminding her how much he wants her. So maybe if she will realize that Saad actually wants her too, her feelings might change towards him. She might be able to accept the relationship better.
On the other hand, we wonder if Saad hesitates from telling Maheer about how he feels because she might think he capitalized on the opportunity to marry her. Or, he just feels that this disclosure will change their relationship forever – one of deep friendship, which he’d like to keep if all else fails!
Areeb Makes Us Feel For Him
Areeb finally makes us feel for him. Actually, he is the worst affected by all this. He not only lost his father & Maheer, but also has to face the harsh reality that the situation he’s in presently, was in fact, conspired by his mother. When his mother tries to ask for his forgiveness, Areeb’s sadness was heartbreaking.
