Story Of Tumharey Husn Kay Naam
The drama is a classic love story that weaves together threads of melancholic romance, philosophy, and nostalgia to create a tale of lost young love, perhaps, meeting again at a later stage in life? Salma and Sikandar are the epitome of true love, defying all man-made social divisions and differences. Their love transcends the limitations of time, distances, and social conditioning, probably standing the test of time and society.
The trailer depicts the heart-wrenching narrative of two individuals separated by the cliched concept of a poor boy unable to marry a wealthy girl. The slow-burning, captivating romance between Salma and Sikandar promises to be the highlight of the drama, leaving viewers in a turmoil of emotions, much as is the case with a tragic love story. However, what will set it apart are the intense performances from the onscreen pairing of Saba Qamar and Imran Abbas, both of whom emote beautifully onscreen. Furthermore, it is the negative portrayal of the villainous Atif that adds the plot twist, painting a picture of a toxic individual who threatens to crush the lively spirit of our heroine Salma. Additionally, the dialogue between the parents, discussing the ideal match for their daughters and the desire for wealth, added shades to the trailer – showing how our expectations manoevre our future happiness, or not!
It is also refreshing to see Salma and Sikandar playing Fine Arts students, a profession that is often neglected and undervalued in our society. Thus, through their passion for singing, painting, and poetry, the drama sets the perfect tone for a classic love story.
However, despite revealing the basic story mapping, the trailer leaves us with a sense of curiosity and wonder as to what fate holds for Salma and Sikandar. How do they get back together, under what circumstances will they meet and how the story will progress thereon. Additionally, the question remains as to whether either of them will emerge as successful artists, fulfilling their dreams and passions. And will the pain of separation actually lead to finding a voice through creativity?
There is scope for the story to turn a new shade of new, despite portraying a love story we think we’ve seen before, our way.
