The Story Moves Forward, Prepping Us for What’s to Come Soon
Both Peeral and Meeral, the father and son are interested in Noori in Jhok Sarkar. Will Noori be the reason for a confrontation between the two of them? We wait to see if ASP Arsalan will rescue Shaukat before Meeral reaches him?

Reality Check Within The System
The drama highlights basic flaws, discrimination, and how connections are given priority and lead to injustices within the police department – a dose of reality for many. Arsalan’s posting changeover exposes the faults within the system, but at the same time, gives you hope with characters like ASP Arsalan.
Father vs Son
Peeral is intelligent unlike his son who is clearly more emotional. Peeral planned it such that he doesn’t get his hands dirty with the business of Shaukat’s punishment and also shows the villagers that he is a fair man. Hence he chose to keep the girl and send Shaukat with the police who will eventually do what Peeral wants, that is; eradicate Shaukat, but through the police and hence, no one can pin the blame on Peeral. He is also exploiting the situation to blackmail Noori into marrying him, but can he control his son?
Arsalan is a self-made man and refuses to compromise on his pride and principles. It was good that he was upfront with Lubna’s father and made his priorities very clear to him. He also gently explained to Lubna that maybe, they need to be separate as they seek different things from life. This uprightness might also bring him head-on against the prevailing corrupt system in Jhok Sial – will a lone good man manage to win the battle of good versus evil? That is the question that we suspect will form the major theme of the narrative, as it moves forward.
The conversation between the two wives of Meeral was, unfortunately, quite toxic and unnecessary. We wish it had not been part of the narrative.
Jhok Sarkar is off to a good start and as audiences wait for Sassi & Arsalan’s first meet, the makers lay the groundwork to whet our appetites for what’s to come. Tell us if you’re watching!
