The “golden drama” of Pakistan came to a bitter sweet end and fans pen down what all they shall miss about Kuch Ankahi!

Kuch Ankahi, now a timeless classic graced our screens for its final episode this past Saturday and fans are already missing everything about it. A real family drama with a lot of positive messages, finely crafted comedy, romance, characters that were not flawless yet lovable. As one viewer said it best: “the greenest of the green flags”. Wholesome and brilliantly filmed, the drama had this sheer simplicity, an empowering, thought provoking and heart warming story telling with literally no regressive material. It has been just what our industry needed to step up their game and push through years ahead (since many are still stuck in the 90’s saas bahu toxicity). We hope this work inspires other writers and directors to pursue excellence, what you call a perfect happy ending.
The final episode was a soul lifting happy ending – let’s take you through our personal highlights of the last episode: Saif’s heartfelt yet respectful apology to Samia saw him giving her space yet apologizing and in no way exerting pressure on her, a nuanced sweet ice breaker (asking Samiya for chai), the way Azfar understood Aliya better than she could herself and very valiantly assisting Salman and Aliya’s love story. The way Azfar handled rejection like a true gentleman, still holding the love for Aliya in his eyes, a true shining example on how not to be a toxic man disguised as a hero. Dialogues that were nothing short of pure heart fluttering, poetry. Aliya and Salman’s dreamy engagement and how Aliya finally accepts her love for Salman. Thanvi and Phuppo’s story came full circle as she once again tries to run away yet returns as Thanvi proposes a friendship, first assuring he expects nothing more. Annnd, how do we not mention the dance sequence? The Dildara stoles our dils! The lyrics, the song, the filming – everything was the cherry on the cake and nothing short of an overdose of serotonin.
The last episode has been an extremely bitter sweet moment for the fans, many are calling for a season 2, some are asking the director and writer for another collaboration and some are just sniffling and wiping their tears away. Let’s see what the fans are going to be missing on their Saturday comfort watch:

Bought us back a Former Supermodel & A Former Film star!

Kuch Ankahi was an unparalleled disruption in the Pakistani drama industry, one which really delved into perfecting the craft and story, propagating women empowerment, inheritance solutions, sexual abuse all balanced with a dose of romance, comedy, drama and more. We don’t mean it lightly when we say, we will truly miss Kuch Ankahi.
