The couple’s Hungarian wedding is giving us all the dreamy country vibes and here we share more!

Love is in the air and so are celebrity weddings. The sweetheart couple married in steep Hungarian traditions and the internet is obsessed! Here is what went down.
The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody’s Disney Star, Dylan Sprouse, 30 and the glamourous Victoria Secret’s model Barbara Palvin, 29 just got married on July 15th. It has to be one of the most dreamy weddings of 2023. The couple’s wedding took place in the Hungarian countryside where Barbara was born and raised. The venue was the model’s parent’s property on the Hungarian island, Harlekin Birtok. The couple exchanged vows in the church in Albertirsa where Barbara’s parents also married 34 years ago.
The Funny Story Of How They Met
The couple had been dating for 6 years before tying the knot and got engaged last September while on a camping trip with friends in California. They revealed they first met when Barbara cut him in line while entering an event and how when Dylan rebuked, a jokey flirty banter followed but incidentally, no phone numbers were engaged. Dylan was curious and slid into Barbara’s DMs but the supermodel ghosted him for about the next 6 months.(Gives you hopes?) She eventually succumbed to his charms and replied and just 3 months later, flew to China to see the actor who was shooting there to finally go out for their first date. Talk about first date goals: “flying to china for a date”
She Wore 3 Different Dresses On Her Wedding Day (You Read That Right)
Barbara wanted to go for a timeless, classic gown and wore 3 dresses on her wedding day! Yes, 3. She chose a Vivienne Westwood custom strapless gown from the British fashion house for her church and civil wedding – A floor-length, off-white gown with a corset bodice and and a traditional veil. She wore her hair down, slightly clipped back and accessorized her minimalist look with a Tiffany & Co.’s 90’s inspired choker necklace. Dylan appeared to don a classic black suit and tie with a brooch.
For her second look post her church wedding and civil ceremony, she wanted to let lose and wear something fun to dance the night away. For that she chose a shorter style crisscross back with a bow by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. “It was the best choice,” Barbara says. “The dress made me feel like a modern princess.” She even changed up he hairstyle with a half up do strung along with a white bow.
Barbara planned all her looks with shoe pairings by Jimmy Choo in mind, designed to match the colors of her dresses. While the groom, on the other hand, only had 2 items on his to do list: get a very traditional tuxedo and make sure to shave.
The Hungarian Traditions She Followed
Her third dress of the night was a special addition to the mix, it was an ode to her Hungarian traditions, one that requires you wear a red dress after mid night – called “Menyecske Ruha”. There was no question or doubt around who she would wear and chose a Hungarian designer, Mero. The tradition of wearing a red dress after midnight signifies how, as the date changes, the woman is no more a bride and is now a married woman starting the next day. She says it was the dress of her dreams, both sweet and sexy. They both described the significant life event as a beautiful moment they will never forget.
The couple revealed their plans for now are going back to LA to their pets and resting a bit before they finally start preparing for their big American wedding in California! 2 weddings, one in Europe and the other In the US? What a seriously global wedding plan!
