A bittersweet start to Fairy Tale season 2. Farjad changes for the better. Mother-in-law suddenly turned toxic and Umeed’s overflowing energy stays aimless and silly. Some creative moments but sadly seems like the script is trying too hard to be funny.

Farjad 2.0 is A Heart Winner, All Over Again!
It is so nice to see this new version of Farjad, who is smiling, caring and considerate. Farjad’s character has shown an arc and a journey. The way he gently handles Umeed is for sure a heart winner.
An Interesting Take At A Recap
The drama showed us the highlights of season one was very creative and interesting without making it a complete bore. Hats off to you guys.
Will Umeed’s Character Show An Arc?
It is nice to see the characters the way we remembered them, but it is also imperative to see the journey of characters, especially the lead character. Umeed’s character sadly showed no arc. We wanted to see her bubbliness and energy with a focus or at least a mildly serious take on life – Not making the silly mistakes that we saw her making in season 1.
We Smiled But Struggled To Laugh
While the drama did make you smile at points, it surely seemed to be struggling hitting the funny bone at any point. Perhaps a more realistic approach of just giving us lighthearted moments in a simple watch take it up a notch.
The Mystery Of AK!
We are missing AK for sure! The mystery of why and where he vanished, despite a beautiful girl confessing her love to him in the last season, has us hooked.
Do We Need A Toxic Mother-in-Law?
Why did the mother-in-law suddenly become so negative and toxic? Completely opposite to her character in season 1? On the other hand, Haya and Sameer haven’t budged a notch. We wish we could witness more energy and better chemistry between the two. But good to see both embarking on further academic pursuits.
The Unexpected Indian Soap Parody
The last part of 2nd episode, mimicking an Indian Soap has us a bit confused. Maybe if the insert was not too long, breezier, it would have been more watchable. The scene didn’t quite deliver smile moments though; it was just an unexpected surprise. How did you feel about it?
