A bittersweet start to Fairy Tale season 2. Farjad changes for the better. Mother-in-law suddenly turned toxic and Umeed’s overflowing energy stays aimless and silly. Some creative moments but sadly seems like the script is trying too hard to be funny.

Farjad 2.0 is A Heart Winner, All Over Again!
It is so nice to see this new version of Farjad, who is smiling, caring and considerate. Farjad’s character has shown an arc and a journey. The way he gently handles Umeed is for sure a heart winner.
An Interesting Take At A Recap
The drama showed us the highlights of season one was very creative and interesting without making it a complete bore. Hats off to you guys.
Will Umeed’s Character Show An Arc?
It is nice to see the characters the way we remembered them, but it is also imperative to see the journey of characters, especially the lead character. Umeed’s character sadly showed no arc. We wanted to see her bubbliness and energy with a focus or at least a mildly serious take on life – Not making the silly mistakes that we saw her making in season 1.
We Smiled But Struggled To Laugh
While the drama did make you smile at points, it surely seemed to be struggling hitting the funny bone at any point. Perhaps a more realistic approach of just giving us lighthearted moments in a simple watch take it up a notch.
The Mystery Of AK!
We are missing AK for sure! The mystery of why and where he vanished, despite a beautiful girl confessing her love to him in the last season, has us hooked.
Do We Need A Toxic Mother-in-Law?
Why did the mother-in-law suddenly become so negative and toxic? Completely opposite to her character in season 1? On the other hand, Haya and Sameer haven’t budged a notch. We wish we could witness more energy and better chemistry between the two. But good to see both embarking on further academic pursuits.
The Unexpected Indian Soap Parody
The last part of 2nd episode, mimicking an Indian Soap has us a bit confused. Maybe if the insert was not too long, breezier, it would have been more watchable. The scene didn’t quite deliver smile moments though; it was just an unexpected surprise. How did you feel about it?
What a bad review. I feel like you guys didn’t even watch it carefully
Umeed is more calm than in season one and as in season one episode 1 she did some awkward things which were hard to swollow, are not in these episodes. You guys have such a negative approach and I am following you guys from past two, three years and this the worst review I have ever read. Umeed is more focussed which is why se joined farjads office and wants to show him that she is more serious about life. There were so many cute moments which you call “trying to hard to be funny”. And the mother in law is not being toxic, it’s just a natural emotion which she has said in these 2eps multiple times that she didn’t get much importance and it’s just some salt and pepper sprinkled to her character. And she still says that I love you and it was cute seeing her search that how to be a villain in someone’s fairy tale , it’s just her love for her son. And in my opinion she won’t become a solid barrier between umeed and farjad. I mean come on do you really expect toxic mother in law. And it’s a fairytale and it can have exaggeration which was shown in the last scene. They were just trying to be innovative and if you really want to watch a no worry, no nothing drama then you are not the best viewer for fairytale. I mean do you really like dramas like MGM who just show how to go against your parents and all. I respect the opinion but this was not the right way and not th best choice of words to share it. I think credit goes to Sarah maheen the writer and Ali Hassan the director that they took this step to do some thing out of the box which most directors don’t want to do as it is a risk. I accept that the characters of Haya and sameer need to move on but Umeed to more calm and she didn’t even do anything silly. I mean what level of muturity do u expect in 2 eps but still I think so is more calm than in season one and have u even seen her wake up early and all. And you guys are the on who used to say that we should accept imperfect leads because that’s when you relate and love the characters, we cannot show such extreme that from day one she starts working and being super mature. Then we won’t have Umeed with us and then what’s the point of making a drama. Also maybe AK was not written like this but the unavailability of Ali Saginaw led to this. As in your one of the interviews he wasn’t sure if he has to join the set. Maybe the writer thought of something else which would have had mimi and his love story. Even Sarah majeed said hopefully when you guys asked her if everyone is available. The cinema scene was beautiful because it revealed everything to the characters which led to a fresh start. Idk why you guys have scene it in a such a negative manner. Really disappointed. I could explain more but I need an answer please. I really like your channel and read your articles every day but this seems to be the worst and for the first time the worst selection of words ????????????
Last scene was Soo funny niggo ji imagination was too good. I love the show. Har character ki revolution hui hai pasha Sahab niggo ji as a mother unki insecurities blkul theek hai umeed k hawaly se . Mujhy lagta hai hum any waly episodes mein umeed k character ki revolution dekhy ge. Mujhy umeed ka character haseena moin k dramas ki yaad dilwata hai UN ki heroins bhi esi hi hoti thi
