Jahan Daad or IRL known as Malik Raza hinted at Jahan Daad’s yet to be seen heroics in Jhok Sarkar. Read on to know more from our exclusive!
Malik Raza has done several roles in local drama serials as well as in blockbusters dramas including Parizaad, Khuda Aur Muhabbat, Faryaad, Pyaar Kay Sadqay, and more. He is recently seen in Jhok Sarkar as Jahan Daad opposite Farhan Saeed and Asif Raza Mir.
His character as Munshi Jee in Pyar Kay Sadqay was a true hit and touched hearts and now his character in Jhok Sarkar as Jahan Daad is another multi-layered one and there is no going back for his fans. The actor speaks 19 language, has his own businesses and also runs a cafe!
He rarely sits down for interviews but he graced FUCHSIA HQ for an exclusive with editor, Rabia Mughni.
How He Stumbled Upon Acting
He says he stumbled upon acting by accident, he had a garments business on the famous tariq road. Many TV personalities would come in and so did Kazim Pasha, his mentor who came in and asked if he would act along with many more people who asked the same. He said: so I thought they are making me a fool for just wanting discounts. Then in 2004 my friend Farhan asked me ‘acting karoge?’ I said no, then in 2006 he asked again, I mentioned it to my father. Now my father is 6’7, he wears a peshawari chappal. He didn’t even look at me and he just threw the chapal towards me and looked at me so I ran away.
Then in 2009 Farhan asked for my car.” He revealed he has a habit of not giving anybody his car and so told his friend the same. “He said he wanted to go somewhere so I sat with him, to go to evernew studio. I was waiting outside and he came outside to tell me shoot horai hai, dekhnay ajao. I went inside, the shoot was stopped, they needed an actor in the role of a badmaash with a gun, they asked if I would do it, in the moment I said okay i’ll do it. Following that I got a telefilm next.”
Even though he says he never decided or wished to be an actor:
“Mujhay pehlay bhi shoq nae tha, mujhay acting ka ajj bhi shoq nae. Ajj farq itna hai kay acting meri ibadat hai, oxygen hai, mujhay aisa lagta hai mai zinda hogaya hou.”

He Regrets His Return To Pakistan
On things he shouldn’t have done – He says he had left for Turkey in 1997 and thinks he should not have returned. He says he returned for love, for the love of his future wife who was his father’s friend’s daughter. Now happily married with 4 kids, he says: “Mai logo say tang akay chala gaya tha, mai ajj bhi logo say tang hou. Sab say zayada jhoot humaray yahan hai. Hum apnay aap say khud sachay nae hain.” He says it bothers him alot and that is why he ends up juggling between his multiple professions.
His Views On Raising Children
He says he is a big believer and would support his sons in any work they would want to do, no matter how little or big it would be. He says: “Hum bacho kay sath bohat zulm kartay hain, hum unko wahan jahan hum dekhna chahte hain lejnay ki koshish karte hain, likin bacha wahan kabhi bhi nahi jayega. Bacha wahan jayega jahan wo jana chah raha hai app uskay saath kharay hojaye tou wo bohat acha result dega. Meray beto ka dost mai he houn.”
He is a rather witty and highly sensible person, he added:
“Allah nay apko baap bana dia, har cheez mai baap na banay. App bata dou yeh theek hai yeh ghalat baqi unki marzi. Eventually the kids will do what they want to do. I wanted to smoke cigarettes, I did. My father hit me so I would stop but I hid and continued to smoke. So I was the one who offered my son his first cigarette because if the first time he chose to smoke it should be with me and now he doesn’t even smoke.”

In Awe Of Jhok Sarkar Director, Saife Hassan & Sharing His Personal Struggles
He says he is in awe of Saife Hassan, the director for his current drama – Jhok Sarkar. “Saifi bhai kya admi hai. Baray mazay ka admi hai. He corrected me in a lot places and now I see it in the episodes and realise he was right. Camera kay peechay jo log hai inki zayada mehnat hai.”
He shared his initial struggles: “Mai jab aya tou mujhay parhna bhi nae ata tha, mai urdu bhi iss tarha say parhta tha jesay government school ka bacha parta tha. Ek writer thay, unho nay mujhay newspaper dia, aur bola itni zor say parho kay kaan may awaz aye.” That is what he practiced and what continued to help him.
Aftermath Of Doing Negative Roles
He said when Pyare Afzal was on air, “I did a negative lead and rastay mai aurto nay mujhay galiyan de, sach mai galiyan de. Bohat mazay mazay ke galiyan de aur wo mujhay tamghay lagtay hain ab.”
“Mai khud ek artist hou but jab mai meray pass tum hou dekh raha tha tou Ayeza bohat achi hain but jab unka scene ata tha mera khoon khol jata tha jab kay mujhay maloom hai kay its a drama, tou ek aam admi ke kya halat hui hoge? App unsay poochay unn kay saath kya kya hua hoga. Mai guarantee deta hua hoga, logo kay dil mai jo ata hai bol detay hain.”
Working With Farhan Saeed & Asif Raza Mir
On working with Farhan Saeed and Asif Raza Mir in Jhok Sarkar he said: “Farhan kay saath pehli dafa kaam kia, bohat acha laga bohat zaayada acha laga aur Asif bhai kay saath tou purana taluq hai, pehlay bhi kaam kia hai. Bohat mazay kay admi hain.“
About Jhok Sarkar & His Character Jahan Daad.
When he got the role, he didn’t think Jahan Daad was going to be his cup of tea. “Jab meri Saife bhai say mulaqat hui, he said Malik mai ek play keraha hou tumnay karna hai. Mainay kaha mai hazir hou, when I got the script, I couldn’t understand Jehan Daad. Every character seemed similar. It was by chance that one day while standing in front of a mirror I uttered a sentence unknowingly and it was then I felt I had found Jahan Daad.”

He said the response for his character and the drama Jhok Sarkar has been “great so far but I always am in the search for better.” He also urged people in any field of work: “Jo karay imaandaari say karay.“
He left a big hint for Jhok Sarkar watchers, he said: “Jahan Daad is the hero and end mai audiences sab pay roye gain..”
Does it mean we will be left heart broken, will Jahan Daad finally join ASP Arsalan’s mission? Well we ll have to find out.
