The final episode of Neem dropped, and we have to say, it marked a beautiful ending for Ashhad and Zimal.

It is perhaps a sad reality, that despite touching upon so many significant narratives, the happy ending to Zimal and Ashhad’s story is what really made us love the last episode. Neem ended up being a lost opportunity as it could have initiated so many thought-provoking conversations.
5 Important Points That Neem Addressed
1: Land reforms and how they can be the route to people empowerment.
2: Education – using technology to overcome lack of human resources and expertise to help spread education digitally.
3: Infertility and its consequences.
4: The tragedy and challenges of a woman unable to bear children.
5: Self-respect counts above everything else.
A Promising Script That Lost Audiences
However, the execution of the script ended up being too preachy and lost audiences. Instead of focusing on education challenge and efforts by Zimal to promote the education app, the 2nd wife story track somehow caught more attention and was the focus of conversations. Better execution of the script, more captivating characters and thought provoking-messages woven cleverly into the script, could have made Neem a more watchable story.
Performances & Scenic Screen Time
The drama treated us to some absorbing and note-worthy performances from the entire cast, especially Mawra Hocane, Ameer Gilani and Syed Jibran. Neem also paid tribute to the stunning northern region of Pakistan, showcasing the landscape in its raw, natural yet breathtaking beauty.
Useful Reminders
Neem reminded us how Allah has a grand plan in place and how He will hand out a lesson to all, when the time is right. Zimal underwent the painful process of divorce but then found someone who was truly meant for her and wouldn’t leave her, no matter what. Ashhad’s love for Zimal was true and pure, and although it took time, yet Allah gave him his love eventually.
Our Dreamy Love Story
The conversation between Ashhad and Zimal when overlooking the mountains warmed the heart and was absolutely lovely to behold. Now that Neem has come to an end, binge-watching the drama might be a good idea as you can skip all the scenes that might seem boring or irrelevant while the drama was on air.
