While his show is known for the sizzling celebrity pairings, for season 8 according it will be embracing a family theme! Having invited the Bollywood power couple, Deepika and Ranveer to the Deol brothers followed by tinsel town besties, Ananya Panday & Sara Ali Khan. Now for episode 4 this week, we will be seeing, 2 glamourous, Bollywood powerhouses Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan, gracing the couch.
The excitement for this episode is now steadily growing ever since the confirmation of the attendance of these two Bollywood divas. The makers unveiled a fresh promo showcasing Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt. In the promo, the filmmaker and host, Karan Johar, introduced Kareena Kapoor Khan as his “spirit soul” and referred to Alia Bhatt as his ‘firstborn’. Now of course given K Jo’s penchant for gossip, controversy and spilling the tea, he certainly amped it up in this episode. Alia Bhatt seems to be warning audiences as she predicts the show to be rather kontroversial, with a K just like the controversial couch.

1. Who’s Whose Competition? He Just Loves Pitting Them Against Each Other
While he may be friends with all the bollywood beauties, he wouldn’t miss the chance to pit them against each other on his show. So of course, giving the episode a spicy twist, Karan asked Kareena, “Do you consider Deepika Padukone as your competition.” The actress replied, “I think this is Alia’s question for her rapid fire, not for me!”

2. “Kalesh” Jo Bringing Up The 23 Year Old Rivalry Between Kareena Kapoor & Ameesha Patel!
While “Kalesh (one causing unrest) Jo” stirring up the 23-year-old feud between Kareena and Ameesha might not thrill all audiences, skeptics argue he probably has no other gossip to cling to. It is what it is, so before the episode airs this thursday, seize the opportunity to get the downlow on the supposed rivalry between the two. Reports claim Bebo was initially all set to make her debut as the female heroine in the romantic film, “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” but Ameesha Patel came on board after she backed out. Ever since then, rumours claim that this move by the makers started a long standing rivalry between Bebo and Ameesha.
So in the promo, K Jo is seen asking Kareena Kapoor why she was not present at Gadar 2’s success party. As Kareena responds vaguely, remaining clueless, Karan immediately asks if her absence could have something to do with her “history” with actress Ameesha Patel. “You were meant to do Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai,” Karan teases Kareena. To this, Kareena says, “I am ignoring Karan, as you all can see!”
We don’t know what exactly prompted Karan Johar to bring this up after years now, it maybe perhaps because this has been circulating in the gossip mil as of late since Ameesha’s comeback in Gadar 2.
Get The Downlow On The Supposed Rivalry Before You Watch The Episode!
In a previous interview with Filmfare, Kareena opened up about exiting Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and her feud with Ameesha. “The film was made for Hrithik. His dad spent five hours on every frame and close-up of his, whereas not even five seconds were spent on Ameesha. There are portions in the film where she has pimples and under-eye bags on her face. She just doesn’t look beautiful, but every shot of his was a dream. If I were in the film, I would have definitely got a better deal, but I still feel that the attention would have divided between us. So, I’m glad I didn’t do the film.”
On the other hand, Ameesha responded to Kareena’s statement in another interview saying: “Kareena made a statement that if she’d done Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, she would’ve done a better job of it than I had. And she said that she would’ve stolen the limelight from Hrithik or something like that. And I also said, ‘Maybe. Maybe she would have, maybe she wouldn’t have’. The bottom line is that Sonia was me, I did justice to the character, the film was a hit. Nobody can run away from this reality. What I could’ve done replacing other girls in other films I don’t know. Maybe I would’ve done them worse, maybe I would’ve done them better.”

The promo also shows the trio figuring out whether Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are jethani and nand or if Kareena is Alia’s bhabhi. To this, Kareena is quick to declare, “I am not anyone’s bhabhi.” Case in point: Alia Bhatt is married to Ranbir Kapoor, who happens to be Kareena’s first cousin. We think that makes Kareena, Alia’s nand? Ooh! But Bebo ain’t nobody’s nand.
