The story in the fantasy world of IM takes an interesting and surprising twist. Sukaina discovers the reality of Shahmeer Sikander, but he convinces her to keep it to herself. Pretending to fly off to London, though an interesting idea, but we question how Shahmeer ensures his father never runs into him as Fazal Baksh, when living in the same city.
Shahmeer, The Smooth Operator
Shahmeer Sikander knows how to play with emotions and also cleverly play unforeseen situations to his advantage. Selling Sukaina, the dream to help her husband and also convincing her that he is acting due to being in love with her sister, was a smart move.
So while watching IM, we need to remember that this the story is far from reality, hence many events must be viewed accordingly. Even if we find it strange why someone is allowed to live in your house under the guise of a false identity, we simply assume we are watching a Bollywood romcom – Pakistani version. So we smile, sit back and enjoy. This is because IM has established from the very beginning that it is a fantasy story.
Cracks In A Cool Exterior
The episode showed that Shahmeer might not be that emotionally strong. He is haunted by the past and what happened to his mother. When Shibra asked him if Dawood was involved in the death of his wife, it affects him, and he ends up asking the same question to his father – a challenging reality he has to face up to and live with, whenever he decides to take up politics publicly.
Haroon is underestimating Shahmeer. Doesn’t seem like anyone can make Shahmeer do what he doesn’t want to, so it seems a bit impossible that Haroon can convince Shahmeer for his daughter, simply by using the power of his name.
Shahmeer might have given the wrong idea to Mehreen unknowingly, in his guilt to cover up for talking on the phone as Fazal Baksh. Appreciate the drama showing Shahmeer justify why he is using a basic phone instead of his smart phone.
Father-Son Relationship Looking Up
What seemed like a cold and distant relationship between Shahmeer and his father, is now changing. Shahmeer is warming up to Dawood, especially when he apologized to him for asking the question about his mother’s death. It seems like he actually cares about him.
Sukaina’s Dilemma
Sukaina jee there is enough adventure in your love story. What else do you want? A somewhat loving husband, a zaalim saas… love bhi hai, dukh bhi hai…
Maybe you want your husband to take a stand for you or do something really crazy which proves how much he loves you, just like Shahmeer is doing for Shibra.
