Tumharey Husn Kay Naam comes to an end on a beautiful and happy note. The show though underrated, and more critically acclaimed than appreciated by mass viewers, is for sure, a testament of a progressive script, mention-worthy performances and a well-directed drama.

Omar’s Revelation

Omar finally finds out that Salma was his father’s first love and also the reason Sara broke away from the marriage last minute. We waited anxiously to witness his reaction towards both the revelations. In a heart-winning twist, he not only forgives his father, but apologizes to him and also prevents Sara from making a grave mistake and asks her to come back into his life.

The Aesthetics Of Tumharey Husn Kay Naam

The drama gave us some beautiful and breathtaking cinematography as it took us through the lives of young Salma and Sikander, gradually progressing into the culmination of a love story between their children – Sara and Umer. Moreover, the architecture and outdoor scenes were aesthetically appealing and added to the visual experience. The edits and flow of the storytelling carried a vintage feel of its own, giving it a slow-paced yet endearing, dreamy, and nostalgic feel.

An Unconventional Storyline

While the first half of the drama is a typical love story where a rich girl cannot marry a poor boy, and ends up in a toxic marriage with a wealthy, influential guy; the second half was all about present day young couples – how love evolved from Salma and Sikander’s era to Sara and Omer’s, how issues, conversations and the way love is expressed has also witnessed an evolution of sorts.

The drama also called out, in a subtle and very non- preachy manner; the regressive practices of society or ideologies that we adhere to simply because “log kya kahenge” or because we consider them as age inappropriate; like a mature couple deciding to marry each other, and celebrating their wedding, wearing red on the wedding day, even if you are not a 20 something, and for a change, parents willing to consider their own happiness too.

It also showed us how older children can, not just accept, but celebrate their parents’ 2nd marriage, facilitating it and playing an active role in the festivities, in fact, not feeling embarrassed by it.

Each of these concepts was woven into a natural story progression as well as the character’s story line, and not forcefully injected into the dialogues, just to make a point or highlight a particular character trait – the subtle art of storytelling shone through with dazzling radiance in Tumharey Husn Kay Naam.

Super Performances

Last but not the least, the performances deserve special mention. The portrayal of each character was subtle, sophisticated, relevant and endearing. The casting team helped lift the narrative by facilitating superior performances and the onscreen couples shared a chemistry that complimented each other and came alive magnificently to offer audiences a memorable experience.

Sarah Qayyum, the talented writer, and Saqib Khan, the skilled director, intricately weave the timeless love story of Tumharey Husn Kay Naam. The stellar cast includes Saba Qamar, Imran Abbas, Asad Siddiqui, Sidra Niazi, Salman Shahid, Nayyer Ejaz, Haris Wahid, Maha Hasan, Naima Khan, Rehana Akhtar, Munazzah Arif, Shahnawaz Zaidi, Tipu Sultan, Shazia Gohar, and Talat Shah and more. Presented by EYECONIC MEDIA in collaboration with MULTIVERSE ENTERTAINMENT.
