The couple got married in 2018 after six years of dating and have stated their baby is set to arrive this September 2024. Various Bollywood news outlets had been circulating reports of Deepika being pregnant, in her second trimester and about to make the official announcement soon.

These rumours seemed to stem from many noticing her attempt at hiding her baby bump while wearing a glittering saree at the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). Deepika Padukone stunned in a couture saree and custom jewelry designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Turns out the power couple finally announced the joyous news today 29th February 2024. Deepika in a heartfelt statement to Vogue Singapore in the past, expressed her desire for parenthood, saying: “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”
