Finally, Khaie ends, giving us all the much awaited and anticipated death of Channar through the hands of Zamdaa. Other than the never-ending dialogues of Channar before his death, the episode was entertaining to watch.

Will She Kill Him?
From the beginning of the final episode, we were all wondering if Zamdaa would manage to kill Channar and if she does, will she do the same with Aizaz? So, one could not let a single moment go by, taking in every scene as it unfolded.
Unfortunately, Channar’s never-ending dialogues before his death were quite unnecessary and took away from the impact. We were waiting to see if she will shoot him or not, and Channar went on and on about his love, which became boring, compromising on the entertainment experiences as viewers.
When Channar talks about his love at length, the drama does make one question for a moment that, Zamdaa might decide not to kill him, but thank Goodness, she tells him that it was not love, but Khaie…
Zamdaa’s Unwavering Revenge Plan
It was interesting to see how certain and focused she was on her revenge plan, that despite seeing her mother after so long and completely fine now, she picks up her gun and runs back to kill Aizaz.
A big shout out to the creators for giving us a positive ending where Zamdaa spares Aizaz in the hope that this will stop the never-ending tradition of Khaie in that area. It also leaves the door open for Khaie season 2 if the creators ever contemplate going in that direction.
A Well-Executed Death
The death sequence of Channar Khan (if we minus the long dialogues) was also well-executed, with him realising what has really happened and then getting shot twice by Zamdaa, subsequently falling to his grave – a much deserved ending for his character. A big shout out to Faysal Quraishi for an impressive performance in that scene – realistic and befitting Channar’s character.
What We Question
Showing Channar Khan return to Zamdaa towards the end, implying she might really be in love with him. There was no need to show that. In fact, it served as a disservice to the character of Zamdaa, to show that she might have had positive feelings for him. Because otherwise, what was the purpose of showing that she recalls him at that point in time. A girl who had to marry and forcefully sleep with the murderer of her family in utter terror, who was clear about planning revenge, who used to say that she feels disgusted with herself, how can she have even the slightest feelings for him? In addition, the audiences should not be made to think of Channar as a hero after all that he did. He did not repent or show even an ounce of regret for the murders he committed.
The drama also had the opportunity to advocate therapy. After undergoing so much trauma, how is it possible that Zamdaa can go on living her life normally. Mention of her seeking therapy in the voiceover, especially given she was an educated person, should have been there. This was an opportunity lost.
