Did you feel the satisfaction Zamdaa must have felt while killing Duraab? As we mourn the sacrificial death of Badal, we also find ourselves feeling betrayed by Zamdaa for giving up Badal. However, the curiosity of how the drama ends and that it might leave a strong possibility of Khaie season 2, takes precedence over everything else.

Sacrificing Bareera & Badal
Bareera’s death was sudden and out of the blue. She was one character who had helped Zamdaa and we had soft feelings for her. She deserved a more heroic and interesting death, rather than just getting hit by a stone and dying.
Though Gulwareen had killed Bareera’s child, Bareera was kind to Barlas and tried to stop Badal from killing him.
It was a thrilling watch as we lost three characters within a span of a few minutes. The best part – we were not 100 % sure who would die and who wouldn’t. At the same time, we were hoping maybe someone would be saved, especially Badal – It was a hope against hope that he would be saved miraculously somehow.
Losing Badal was sad and shocking. And then to realise that Zamdaa had actually sacrificed him, and there was no pre-planning between the two was also heartbreaking. Somehow, we were hoping that some humanity or some feelings would still be left in Zamdaa. But looks like Zamdaa is devoid of all feelings or “ahsaas” now. Did you feel the same way?
Characters With Shades Of Grey
The drama must be appreciated for creating characters who have shades, and who also make you experience feelings of sympathy and admiration despite their brutal actions. Channar’s loss as a father does hit a spot somewhere as you see him grieving for Barlas despite all that he has done. Duraab’s determination and strength is admirable and surprises you, that even on his death bed, he doesn’t give up and tries to take down Zamdaa.
A Satisfying Death
Duraab’s death was a satisfying scene for all those who had felt for Zamdaa. A big shout out to the team for executing it in a gripping manner. It must have been a difficult scene to shoot for Wajahat Hussain and to perform for Durefishan and Khalid Sahib. To treat a seasoned actor so brutally must not have been easy. But the result was a great scene. The way Zamdaa pushed his face down with her foot mirrored the intensity of hatred inside her.
Though Zamdaa’s hand should have covered Duraab’s nose as well, when she was trying to kill him. It would have added to the real feel of the scene.
Will Zamdaa live on? How can she continue living after all these murders, can her mental state ever be okay? Is she doomed to die…can she get the satisfaction she seeks, after killing everyone?
