The director, Kashif Nisar, deserves full marks for the execution. The unspoken tension between Ibrahim (Bilal Abbas) and Alia (Sabeena Farooq) is commendable; both actors delivered their roles with exceptional skill.
4. Noor Jahan
Noor Jahan is at number 4 this week. The actors, writer, and director deserve a round of applause for keeping the pace steady with one twist after another, making each episode compelling and leaving us wanting more. Whether it’s Safina trying to hide this news of her baby girl from Noor Jahan or Sumbul’s quest to find out the baby’s gender, everyone is entangled in a web spun by none other than Noor Jahan. Meanwhile, Noor Bano plays her part quietly and smartly. We hope to see Noor Jahan’s downfall very soon!
3. Jafaa
Now it’s time to focus on Hassan and Dr. Zara’s story in Jafaa. The drama began with Zara and Hassan’s marriage, but their relationship was left unexplored as the story shifted to Deebu, Moiz, and Dr. Numair. Now that Deebu is finally home with her husband, Dr. Numair, although things are not as smooth as we hoped, the spotlight has shifted back to Hassan and Zara’s marriage. Zara is discovering aspects of Hassan’s nature that are far from normal. Both Mawra Hocane and Mohib Mirza are delivering excellent performances. Thanks to director Danish Nawaz, the story, though not fast-paced, explores every detail with great care.
