Ali Ansari told us that when he read the script, he instantly connected with the character’s flow and freedom. The director gave him the flexibility to shape the role as he wanted, within certain limitations. He enjoyed how the character had an attitude that resonated with him—decisive, with a soft spot, and moments of realization. It was a role that wasn’t fluffy but had depth, which made it enjoyable for him to portray.
Laiba Khan shared that after completing Baylagaam, where her character was constantly crying, she was offered Kaffara. She read the first five episodes and immediately felt drawn to Sitara’s positive and innocent nature. Unlike her previous role, Sitara faced her challenges without tears, showing resilience. Initially, she had doubts after the first few days of shooting. However, when she returned after a break and began working with Ali and the rest of the cast, her interest grew. The collaborative environment, where they rehearsed and shaped scenes together, helped her connect with the character, leading to a natural performance she felt proud of.
Ali Ansari & Laiba Khan Share Advice On Handling Romantic Scenes For Newcomers
Laiba Khan shared that many actresses set clear boundaries and choose not to do romantic scenes if they feel uncomfortable. She emphasized that comfort with a co-actor is crucial and advised newcomers to communicate their limits. If an actor feels disrespected or uncomfortable, they should speak up and even refuse the scene if necessary. Laiba stressed that actresses have the margin to say no to scenes that cross their boundaries, and they should always prioritize their comfort and safety.

He explained that, in real life, these moments happen naturally, but on set, they often require multiple takes, which can break the moment. He highlighted how parents often impose their dreams on their children, pressuring them into careers they might not want. Ali spoke from personal experience, mentioning how he studied economics and finance despite wanting to be an athlete. He stressed that while education in business benefited him later, it wasn’t what he initially desired. This aspect of Salar’s character resonates with many who struggle with similar expectations from their parents.
Ali Ansari And Laiba Khan Discuss Whether Broken Souls Can Complete Each Other
Laiba Khan addressed the idea of broken souls completing each other by acknowledging that both perspectives can be valid.
