I got the offer from Saife Bhai. I respect Saife Bhai a lot. He is one of the great directors of Pakistan. I am very proud of the fact that I am working with him.

Usman Javed credits Saife Hasan for giving him the role in Tan Man Neel O Neel, expressing immense respect and admiration for the veteran director. According to Usman, Saife Hassan is one of the finest directors in Pakistan, with over 20 years of experience in theatre. Usman shared that he views Saife Hasan not just as a director but as a teacher on set, likening him to other great mentors he has been taught with in the past, such as Zia Moheyuddin. This respect for Saife’s craft and experience made the opportunity to work with him a matter of pride for Usman.
Reflecting on his experience, Usman recalled an instance on set where he was scolded for the first time by Saife Hasan. While rehearsing a scene where Sehar Khan and Shuja Asad’s characters passed on a bike, Usman had to react to their presence. Initially, he followed his instincts, but when Saife pointed out an adjustment, Usman quickly complied, viewing the critique as an important lesson. He emphasized that being scolded by a director like Saife Hassan was a significant learning moment for him, as he always arrives on set well-prepared. For Usman, working with a mentor like Saife is an invaluable part of his journey in the industry.

Instead, she maintained a friendly and approachable attitude, often joking around on set and making everyone feel comfortable. Usman compared this to his experiences on other sets, where lead actors sometimes distance themselves or prefer to stay in their rooms. With Sehar, however, there was no such behavior, which made working with her an enjoyable and seamless experience.
Usman highlighted the positive dynamic he shared with Sehar during their scenes together. He appreciated her professionalism and the mutual respect they had on set. For him, Sehar’s grounded nature was refreshing and contributed to a collaborative environment. This connection helped bring authenticity to their scenes, adding depth to the story and making their interactions onscreen memorable for the audience.
