Aye Ishq-e-Junoon: One thing that makes the drama stand apart from the rest is the fact that Rahim has not married Aimen to take revenge. No matter what, his character’s inner goodness is being retained. In addition, he is not being negative and is kind to her, unlike many of the heroes who are shown to become toxic in such situations or marriages.

Once Aimen fainted, and then later, she almost lost consciousness. We were hoping Rahim would take her to the doctor and maybe then he could find out about her short-term memory loss. Guess the drama is eventually building towards that. Though it does create stress in your heart now that Afia has once more started giving the medicine to Aimen, making you wonder, what if she totally loses the memory of Shehroze? How will she ever discover the truth?
Farooq’s character is pivotal in maintaining the harmony and relationships in the Nawaz household. It is only because of him that Rahim’s father decided to accept Aimen and come to terms with the wedding, and no matter what, he cannot let go of his love for Rahim. He also brings to note, Rahim’s safety and security. Though we question if Farooq has any prior motives because he can’t be that naive; with Aimen in the house, the truth can reveal itself anytime. So why is he making sure she stays with Rahim in the same house?
Rahim is a gentle character with a silent strength. He still craves his father’s respect and attention and is trying to uncover the truth about Shehroze. He is also gentle with Aimen. Despite believing that she has done this for money, he is not toxic with her; he ensures her well-being and safety. This makes the character more likeable and much more progressive.
Sheheryar Munawar is delivering a great performance.
Sad to see Maheen’s reaction. We wish the drama had not shown a woman becoming so desperate and almost reaching the brink of losing her senses just for a man.
