Faraar: Not Coming Slow, Unraveling Old Mysteries While Throwing Us New Ones!

The drama takes us back in time showing us young Batish, Bali and Fasih. It is difficult to retain audience attention when the narrative works flashbacks into the story along with the current track. But Faraar is doing a great job; not only is the execution interesting but also employing the story of Mohsin Baig as a vehicle to reveal the connection between Batish, Bali and Fasih is brilliant storytelling. The timing is just perfect where we want to know the story of each character and how they connect.

What a cute and endearing proposal

If it was not for Sadia’s courage, Fasih would have taken so much longer to propose to her. Again, the conversation about the Vespa and how they both connected with each other over it made their interaction very natural and relatable to watch.

Intriguing Flashbacks

What an interesting and pleasant surprise from the drama… to see the younger versions of Batish, Fasih and Bali and to know their backstory. The episode highlighted how political parties play a significant role in disillusioning the youth, giving them powers that they use in wrong ways, and how young boys like Bali are exploited who, through fate, get embroiled in such situations till there is no going back.

The entire scene with young Batish and Bali trying to scare young Fasih and bullying everyone about not to paste anything over the party leader posters was also a representation of how these political parties make sure no one dare do anything against their will.

The Latest Faraar Reveal

Mohsin Baig and Sadia’s connection was an interesting reveal. We still have to find out why Mohsin Baig was in jail after his conversation with Hamdani Sahib. Did he choose to come clean against QIP? The reality of imprisoned political leaders and the corruption within the police department was also highlighted.

The poetry session between Mohsin Baig and Sadia was heart-winning, making us a little sad to once again, be reminded of reality.

How did Mohsin Baig get involved with QIP despite sharing Hamdani Sahib’s thought process, or did he also join QIP like Batish and Bali only to get a reality check about the motivations and real intentions of political parties and their leaders?

One reservation about the younger characters that seemed to stand out for us was how Sami Khan’s character in his younger days was retained as the same actor, yet Bali, Batish and Fasih had changed. We understand that the creators needed to keep a constant in the flashback so as not to confuse viewers (and Mohsin Baig was older than the rest of the characters in the flashback, hence the change would be less exaggerated after 15 years), but perhaps, an older Mohsin Baig with greying hair in the present storyline might have made the character flashback more credible.

So, Bali came to the city looking for Baggi but couldn’t find her. But how did Baggi end up with Chaudhry Akmal?

Faraar is keeping us invested with multiple unsolved mysteries, unravelling new ones, even as it discloses the previous ones.
