It’s hard to believe it’s been almost nine years since Stranger Things first came out. What started as a small-town mystery about a missing kid and some weird lab experiments quickly turned into one of the most loved shows on Netflix.

Over the years, we’ve seen creepy monsters, epic friendships, nosebleeds that mean trouble, and a whole lot of 80s throwbacks that made us want to buy walkie-talkies again. Season by season, things kept getting crazier. The kids grew up, the villains got scarier, and the Upside Down went from a weird alternate world to a full-on nightmare. By the end of Season 4, Hawkins was literally torn apart. Max was left in a coma, Vecna was still out there, and the Upside Down had officially taken over. So yeah, it was intense.
Season 5 Trailer: The Calm Before The Storm
Now, the trailer for Stranger Things Season 5 is here – and it wastes no time letting us know that the end is near.
The trailer opens with Hawkins looking like a ghost town. Cracks from the Upside Down are everywhere, and the military has pretty much taken over. We see Eleven on the run, looking stronger but more alone than ever. Will’s back in focus, clearly dealing with something deep, and Max is still unconscious – but very much a part of this story.
The gang is back together – Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Nancy, Steve, Robin, Hopper, and more. And yes, Vecna returns, more terrifying than ever. At the end of the trailer, he says “Found you,” and it gave fans chills all over again. There’s action, emotion, and just enough mystery to keep everyone guessing. Oh, and Terminator legend Linda Hamilton joins the cast this season, which just makes everything even cooler.
Netflix has also revealed the release schedule: Season 5 will be split into three volumes. The first drops on November 26, the second on Christmas Day, and the big finale lands on New Year’s Eve. Perfect timing for binge-watching over the holidays (and maybe shedding a few tears).
Stranger Things has always been more than just monsters and powers. At its core, it’s about friendship, loyalty, growing up, and facing the unknown – together. And now, with the end in sight, it feels like we’re all getting ready to say goodbye to something truly special.
The gates to the Upside Down are open – for the last time.
