Kafeel is showing us a story we’ve seen many times before, but in a fresh way – which is why we’re all following it so closely.

Zeba is back from her honeymoon, and it’s clear she’s not happy. Her restlessness is visible, and thankfully, dadi, Usman, Aliya, and Zeba’s father all notice that something is off. But her mother keeps reassuring everyone that Zeba is happy – after all, she got married into a wealthy household.
However, the red flags Zeba is witnessing are glaringly obvious, even if she isn’t saying anything out loud. How many red flags does it take to realize you’re stuck in a toxic marriage and that this person is unlikely to change?
When will it be enough for Zeba? So far, there has been a series of strikes that should have raised alarm bells for her:
Strike 1: In episode 3, when Jami was taking Zeba to her house, he stopped the car in front of Asma’s house and started telling Zeba about his past love story.
Strike 2: Demanding Furniture from her parents and that too, in an underhand way.
Strike 3: Telling her that he never wants to be questioned on anything ever – his education or job or anything else.
Strike 4: Calling his parents from their honeymoon but telling her it’s too expensive for Zeba to call hers.
Strike 5: Asking her to shop for their families but demanding she pay for it all.
Strike 6: Making her call her parents for the money so they could shop in Murree.
Strike 7: Lying to her sister about why they were late for the family lunch.
Strike 8: Telling her off when her dadi inquired about his wallet.
How many strikes from Jami before Zeba should decide to walk out of her marriage?
