Drama buffs, some new dramas are dropping soon – and yes, a few of your favourite actors are making their way back to the screen too. No spoilers here, just some buzz to get you curious. Check it out below and see what’s coming next.

Sometime ago, you could sit down to watch a Pakistani drama and find yourself up at 2 a.m. completely engrossed in it. The storylines and characters felt more realistic than they do today, which gave viewers a strong sense of connection and anticipation for the next episode. Today, however, many dramas may be fun to watch, but there’s not as much of the same excitement to watch as there once was. Viewers are still tuning in, though, hoping that the next drama will bring back that feeling of excitement they once had while watching Pakistani dramas.
So with that hope, here are 3 new dramas dropping soon – and we’re keeping our fingers crossed. Check out the teaser below and take a look at what we think might happen in each one.
Aik Muhabbat Aur Ft. Maya Ali & Ahad Raza Mir
“Aik Mohabbat Aur” is all about second chances at love; however, this is neither simple nor easy to achieve. It appears to depict two people whose lives have progressed beyond where they originally were, thus making it impossible for either of them to fit neatly into one another’s lives. The beauty within its teaser is created through the subtle emotional draw of two individuals that are gradually falling for each other (albeit unintentionally) despite being on such vastly different levels emotionally. One is ready to give their all for love by opening their heart up to it and being willing to take the chance while; on the other hand; the other one has experienced a previous trauma and has had a subpar experience with love, thus making them more cautious with regards to loving again or giving love another chance.
Simultaneously, there is a much more pervasive undercurrent of love standing up to centuries-old social constructs; more specifically, those that were created and passed onto generations by people rather than fate or destiny. This story appears to call into question those social constructs as opposed to merely accepting them as they are. Why should it be wrong or impossible to make certain choices simply because that is the way things have always been? The inherent tension created between one’s personal feelings and those superficial expectations is likely at the core of most of the conflict within this production.
With Ahad Raza Mir and Maya Ali leading the cast and Farooq Rind’s direction guiding the tone, there’s also an expectation of emotional depth mixed with subtle intensity. Add a hint of mischief and warmth from the teaser, and it feels like this won’t just be a love story – it might be about two people slowly challenging the rules written around them, simply to see if their story deserves another chance.
It is written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Farooq Rind. Produced by Tehreem Chaudhary, it stars Maya Ali, Ahad Raza Mir, Hajra Yamin, Noorul Hassan, Saqib Sameer, and more.
Raja London Ka Ft. Ameema Khan, Zaviyar Naumaan Ejaz, & Samar Jafri
With a source material as expansive in its scope as Raja London Ka, the producers of the drama have created a world full of grand settings, complex characters, and intense emotions. The main characters, including Samar Jafri, Zaviyar Naumaan Ejaz, and Ameema Khan, promise an explosive combination of contrasting personalities. The overall tone of the drama appears to revolve around issues such as dominance, ambition, loyalty, and power; no character seems to remain on the safe side of these conflicts for long.
Additionally, there is a unique juxtaposition of old-world romance beneath the action and drama that forms the core of the story. The romantic emotional beats feel more nuanced than anything else in the narrative; they do not come easily, nor are their limits ever clearly defined. Also, there is a Gen Z sense of energy infused throughout the drama through sharper dialogue, modern attitudes, and a more restless, fast-moving emotional style. This combination creates a story that brings together traditional and contemporary values, where all the characters are struggling to reconcile their desires with their feelings and expectations.
What’s really getting people talking though is Samar Jafri in a completely new avatar. A lot of viewers are saying it feels like the first time we’re seeing him in a more intense, layered, almost “edgy” role – and that alone is building curiosity. Plus, the tone of the teaser and the way it’s shot is also getting a lot of love—the lighting, the mood, and especially the color grading really stand out and give it a more cinematic feel.
It is written by Shahid Dogar and directed by Fajr Raza. Produced by Full Frame Productions, it stars Zaviyar Naumaan Ejaz, Samar Jalfri, Ameema Khan, Arjumand Rahim, Shagufta Ejaz, YBQ, and more.
Bombay Tailors Ft. Anika Zulfikar & Ali Ansari
Bombay Tailors looks to be a bit out of the ordinary for dramas in general, as it is based around characters who are just like us trying to find happiness in their daily lives with aspirations of making it big. From what’s being teased, it feels like a story rooted in ordinary people but with very unordinary situations unfolding around them – where relationships, work, and personal dreams all start colliding in unexpected ways.
Bombay Tailors is also getting attention mainly because of its unusual, very street-level kind of vibe, and the pairing of Ali Ansari and Anika Zulfikar. From the early talk around it, the drama seems to sit in a space of everyday struggles, relationships, and ambition – not overly grand, but more rooted in real environments where emotions come out in messy, natural ways rather than overly dramatic setups.
Another cool thing about this example of creative work is that there is an interesting mixture of hustle and identity throughout. This is not a polished world; the characters are doing what they need to do to survive, create, and define themselves as they continue to push through all of these issues. On top of that, it leaves room for emotional moments, mischief, misunderstandings, and other drama that occur due to struggles in life – not because they were created just to keep the audience entertained. There’s a feeling of rawness, familiarity, and an understated intensity in its own right.
It is written by Adeel Afzal and directed by Mazhar Moin. Produced by Moomal Productions, it stars Anika Zulfikar, Ali Ansari, Sania Saeed, Tanvir Syed, and more.
