There is already a fair bit of curiosity around Raqaas, Green Entertainment’s upcoming drama starring Danyal Zafar and Komal Meer. The pairing is new, the locations are gorgeous and the teasers suggest a story built around music, art, love and family tensions.
The teasers have introduced a drama that appears to be bringing together several familiar elements in a rather refreshing way.
But perhaps what makes Raqaas particularly intriguing is the team behind it. The drama comes from writer Radain Shah and director Shahid Shafaat, the creative duo behind Duniyapur. And while Raqaas appears to have its own distinct identity, one can spot glimpses of that same expansive, atmospheric storytelling that made Duniyapur stand out.
This time, however, the canvas is filled with music, art, romance and family relationships.
