Bas Tera Saath Ho is getting more interesting with every episode, and while some things we definitely saw coming, but still managed to catch us off guard. From Faham’s rather unexpected engagement drama to Shayan’s downward spiral and Anas and Ansa’s evolving track, there’s plenty to unpack this week.

Is Shehreen Finally Going to Pay?
So, Faham has called off the engagement.
It was funny and disappointing at the same time.
Funny, because he only got engaged so Shehreen’s father would let him meet her. This is definitely a new one! So now guys can get engaged just so they can “go out” with a girl without any intention of marrying her? This definitely took us by surprise.
Disappointing, because—is this all that Shehreen’s makafat-e-amal amounts to? We expected more.
Shayan Is About to Inflict a Major Damage
And Shayan is heading toward bringing everything down—not just the business, but also the reputation that his grandfather built with hard work over time. The office conversation and Shayan falling off the chair was fun to watch, whether it was part of the original scene or not, the camera kept rolling and we enjoyed the moment!
Anas Stuck in a Loop
As for the Anas and Ansa track—although a bit frustrating because Anas’s character isn’t showing the growth we expected, it still makes a very interesting point: how a girl can also be the one to support a family. And that is truly refreshing to see.
Will it be Anas who eventually saves the business, and redeems his place as the rightful heir in the family? For those of us waiting for a character journey that’s late coming, perhaps this is what we need, though pressing hard on the spped play button might help – over 30 episodes in Bas Tera Saath Ho, but still no sign of change in Anas.
Will Mursaleen’s Misdeeds Be Whitewashed?
Dada constantly comparing Anas to Mujtaba while Mursaleen looks on is the thorn that had probably caused the rift between his two sons. The story seems to be going for a lighter sentence on Mursaleen as he reprimands Shazia for telling Ansa she must pay for her food. The reaction seemed a bit out of place with how the character ahs behaved so far, however, if that’s the story line, let’s hope the narrative and Mursaleen’s character arc justifies it.
Overall, Bas Tera Saath Ho is slowly picking up the pace, even if a few tracks are testing our patience. Some twists felt predictable, while others left us wondering where exactly the story is headed. With Faham’s engagement officially called off, Shayan seemingly determined to destroy everything around him, and Anas and Ansa still figuring things out, we’re definitely watching to see what comes next.
Bas Tera Saath Ho is penned bythe late Saira Riaz and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. The cast features Farhan Saeed, Haris Waheed, Sana Javed, Zoya Nasir, Faran Tahir, Saba Hamid, Salman Shahid and others.
