Here’s a list of actors that impressed us this week. From Nameer Khan to Sania Saeed, check out all the star performances below.

1. Anayah Shahid as Shirin in Zanjeerain
Anayah Shahid delivered a mind-blowing performance as Shirin’s revenge track took over. Bitter one moment, hurtful the other, repentant later but always proud, despite her personal defeat, one felt Shirin’s emotions every step of the way.
2. Nameer Khan as Zamil in Dar e Nijaat
In Zamil, Nameer Khan delivers a highly complex character with great believability. Zamil is fraught by his sense of failure, his insecurities reflecting in his body language, pained expressions and tone. With minimal dialogue, Nameer has taken over the character with full force and won so far.
3. Ahsan Khan as Tabish in Aap Ki Izzat
Ahsan Khan reflects Tabish’s past and present with great skill. From humble beginnings, the young man in love now seems to have left his past behind and aspires to reach greater heights. His present arrogance, sense of self righteousness and then shock when blaming Beena for leaving his home is the journey he has made over the years, making us wonder will he ever become the old Tabish again.
4. Saif Ali Khan as Behram in Aap Ki Izzat
We love how Behram switches from an aggressive to a polite tone when addressing Beena, stuck in between the two relationships he fosters with her – one as the fruit vendor, and the other, as the man who directs her, and possibly, exploits her for his own financial gains. Saif Ali Khan’s tone, expression and body language are fully on point and very engaging to watch.
5. Urwa Hocane as Beena in Aap Ki Izzat
Urwa Hocane as Beena is totally carrying Aap Ki Izzat. Her vacant eyes tell the story of how she has lost hope, then her sad, yet determined tone when she says she wants Tabish to keep searching for her and never find her, reveals her desire to get even with him. The scene where she tries on the fully shrouded veil added a mood entirely its own to the episode – Beena’s journey has begun and Urwa has totally slipped into character.
6. Sania Saeed as Khushbakht in Dar e Nijaat
Sania Saeed as Khushbakht has a remarkable aura in the quiet way she handles the most bizarre situations. Hamna turning up at her house, Khushbakht’s restrained responses and then subsequent conversation with her and then with Abu Bakar over the phone, keeps the suspense in the narrative.
7. Sania Saeed as Tabish’s mother in Aap Ki Izzat
Sania Saeed nails the character once more with her subtle version of a mother in-law whose conscience tells her she’s wrong, but who’s heart isn’t strong enough to go against her only son. She repents alone in her thoughts, but then her actions and words speak a different story. Well done, Sania, we are really invested in your portrayal of a woman who enabled her son to disrespect his wife yet did not expect him to go this far.
8. Raza Ali Abid as Sohrab in Zanjeerain
Raza Ali Abid is facing his day of reckoning. His worst nightmare has come true, but he’s still hanging on. Sohrab’s expressions reveal that he still has something up his sleeve. He shows his evil plans through a dark expressions and quiet conversations rather than loud words or physical harm. Sohrab might still have a card up his sleeve and Raza Ali essays the character with great skill
9. Ahad Raza Mir as Haroon In Aik Mohabbat Aur
Ahad Raza Mir carries the show. Haroon is engaging to watch even when behind bars. His ability to convey humour one moment and sharp rebuttals the next, charm one moment, and a self-deprecating smile the next, have endeared him to Aik Mohabbat Aur audiences. Haroon is an all-in-one package and we’re enjoying the character portrayal immensely.
