Zanjeerain was all about Shirin and Torsam’s revenge track this week. Here’s a break down of the performnces and story that marked the major turning points in the episode. But one wonders if this is really the end, or there’s still more in the drama before it all wraps up.

The performance that stuck
The episode belonged to Anayah Shahid as Shireen. Shireen completely destroyed Sohrab, striking him from an angle he never could have anticipated.
She proved that a woman seeking revenge—especially after being betrayed in love—is the most dangerous enemy. Never hurt a woman to the point that destroying you becomes her sole purpose in life.
Anayah delivered an amazing performance in this scene. Her expressions, body language, and subtle nuances made the moment deeply impactful and engaging to watch.
While Shireen hasn’t always been a fan favorite, her recent confessions made watching her tear Sohrab down thoroughly satisfying.
Torsam’s revenge and perhaps, reckoning
Torsam discovered the real version of Zafraan Khan all too late. While he was clever enough to shoot a video as evidence and also remove the pellets from Zafraan’s gun, one wonders if Zafraan’s end needed to come so soon. After all, a dark villain deserves a darker end, right? One would have hoped Torsam’s new-found restraint would make him imprison Zafraan and reveal all to Sar Buland so that justice could be handed out. But here, the narrative possibly leaned into Torsam’s unchecked rage and also the fact that he will meet a tragic end, now he has two murders to his head – Mudassir and Zafraan. Albeit it was strange how the village people just bought the story that Torsam died through a mistake, and there was no further investigation of the matter.
Sar Buland vs Sohrab
When Sar Buland confronted Sohrab with the truth, the scene underlined a final gratification as viewers felt this is the end of Sohrab. But then, a lingering thoguht followed. Is it really? Sohrab’s expressions and body language belied his total defeat. Does he still have something up his sleeve? An ace card he will use now from sheer desperation? Sohrab is cornered no doubt, but he’s also the darkest villain in Zanjeerain, it remains to be seen if he will take his chances on one desperate attempt at survival. After all, Zamrud is still in the picture, and one waits to see how his final act will play up. What has Sar Buland asked him to do and will it be the final nail in Sohrab’s coffin?
