With the pandemic hitting us full force in 2020 we were deprived of many small, and big pleasures. Though Netflix and multiple OTT platforms moved in swiftly to fill the vacuum, the luxury of watching your favourite actors on the big screen remained a faraway dream for all of us. With the chances of cinemas re-operating and and the concept of drive-in cinemas becoming the new normal we can expect a number of films to light up our screens this year.
Dum Mastam is one of them and we have our eyes on it!
The rom-com will be a first time experience for many in the industry as they take on a new project fulfilling a wide variety of roles.
The movie will be Adnan Siddiqui’s debut in production
Adnan revealed the Dum Mastam poster that dropped last night at the Hum Style Awards
He will be producing the movie alongside Akhtar Hasnain under the banner of Cereal Entertainment. This will also be the big screen debut of two popular actors: Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan who has (incidentally), also penned the story. We are thrilled to see Amar Khan sharing her vision with us through her script writing! She has already written many scripts previously, one of them being Black Wednesday which was premiered at American Film Showcase.
Dum Mastam’s ensemble cast has a lot going for it – watch it for Sohail Ahmed, Saleem Mairaj, Adnan Shah Tipu, Momin Saqib and others in significant roles.

Adnan Siddiqui shared a behind the scenes of the dubbing on his Instagram:
“It’s a romantic comedy helmed by the maverick director Ehtashamuddin who directed Superstar recently…We’re also introducing Momin Saqib, who is one of the supporting cast in the film, who’s an Instagram sensation and is phenomenal with his comic timings,”

The film is directed by Mohammed Ehteshammuddin who also directed Superstar starring Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf. We are looking forward to unveiling the result of Mohammed Ehteshammuddin’s effort with a stellar cast and production team. We are especially excited to see Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan in their debut roles. Imran Ashraf has proven with time how he is an asset to the whole industry. His role as Bhola in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi will forever be remembered as one of his most iconic performances. In addition we are currently watching him as Musa in Raqs e Bismil. As for Amar Khan, apart from being a good writer and director, she has also amazed the audience with her performances in many drama serials such as in Dil e Gumshuda as Alizey and as Samra in Qayamat.
The release date of the film still remains a secret but we hope that we get to see the film soon!
