Whoah! The first episode of Aye Musht-e-Khaak had lots happening! Where we complain that Pakistani dramas crawl at a snail’s pace, this one ran an entire marathon!

Engaging Right From The Start!

Feroze Khan & Sana Javed gave viewers lots to tweet about in an onscreen pairing that made us smile.
Mustajab’s sense of (over) self-importance & Dua’s hilarious eye rolls had us amused & eager to know where this relationship will go from here.
The sunlit frames, shady green, tree-lined outdoor walkways added a refreshing vibe to the screen.
It is great to see stories (finally) where a prospective bride & groom are encouraged to talk to each other, even though it was, but once. And more importantly, that the girl was asked her preference despite receiving an ‘ideal’ proposal.
It is too early to say where the drama leads us from here, but Bobby & Dua already have our attention.
We are glad that the female lead is shown to pursue a serious degree. She has a mind of her own, yet that does not mean she is spoilt.
Have we finally broken from past narratives or are we hoping too much from one episode?
Feroze Khan delivered a credible performance with a hint of humor as he recalled Dua’s bakri & kabootar love.
Sana Javed responded with just the right expressions – not too OTT, yet impactful.
Mustajab might be your so-called perfect rishta but something more lurks behind that disarming smile as he suddenly tossed that book on the table – Feroze Khan you had us there for a moment!
Asad Siddiqui (as Dayyan) & Sana’s onscreen sibling chemistry brought a smile to our faces, especially when playing online – so relatable that!
Although we did feel the red flowers were a bit too much!
The friendship between Shakila & Nimra also struck a chord, devoid of any toxicity. (We hope it stays that way)
Cast & Credits

Last but not the least, skillful direction by Aehsun Talish to smartly deliver a well-packaged first episode & a story that seems gripping at the onset by Maha Malik might just be an engaging drama make. Shani Arshad gives us an OST that is definitely playlist-worthy, we loved the way it played throughout the episode – not too much, not too little. The drama is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi.
The star-studded cast includes Feroze Khan as Mustajab, Sana Javed as Dua, Asad Siddiqui as Dayaan, Shabbir Jan as Imaam Sahib, Shahood Alvi as Sajjad, Iffat Omar as Shakeela, Sadaf Ashan as Nimrah, Ayesha Gul as Abida, Shajeer Uddin as Sauleha, Namrah Shahid as Tabeen, Danial Afzal as Taqi, Shiza as Saima, Hira Umer as Sadaf, Ellie Zaid as Javeria, Shah Jee as Shah Saleem.
