Ruposh star, Haroon Kadwani has bowled the audience over with his performance in the telefilm Ruposh, which has crossed more than 88 million views on YouTube as of now. Within a few years, he has built quite a repute for himself in the industry. He has previously worked in the telefilm, Teri Meri Kahani, and drama serials Muhabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai and Izn-e-Rukhsat. We have also seen him in commercials and in a music video released by ISPR which was a tribute to the martyrs of the APS attack.
Haroon Kadwani is also the son of the ace filmmaker, producer, and actor Abdullah Kadwani, who is also the founder of Pakistan’s leading production house 7th Sky Entertainment. Read further to know his views on nepotism, acting, marriage, and more!
Haroon’s Love For Cricket
Haroon has a knack for sports. He has excelled in cricket, football, taekwondo, and mixed-martial arts (MMA).
He has participated in Taekwondo for six years (2006-2012) and earned a Kukkiwon Red-Black Poom belt and a total of 5 Gold trophies. He went on to pursue Kickboxing/Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in 2015 for another two years. In 2010, he participated in a 15-day football inter school tournament. He then excelled at cricket and was awarded Man of the Series in a Cricket tournament (T10 Match) at British Overseas School 2015.

How Acting School Has Helped Him
Haroon is currently studying at Toronto film school and has previously studied business in London. He feels that studying acting helps you understand the craft better.
He also said that he was drawn towards acting since childhood.
As a student, the subject that I always liked was psychology. I wanted to know how other people think. This was a starting point. I wanted to act to look at the world from other people’s shoes.

I personally don’t think that there is any resemblance but if people think so then I can’t help it. As far as acting is concerned, it is not inspired but it is an honor for me to be compared to an actor as seasoned as Feroze Khan.

The Pressure Of Being Abdullah Kadwani’s Son And Nepotism
Haroon said that there is a lot of weight on you if you are a star kid and people have a lot of expectations from you since the beginning.
People think it is easy to be a star kid but instead it is very hard for me. Being a star kid has its pros and cons. My father can give me one or two roles but after that it depends on talent. If your audience accepts you then you don’t need to be afraid of anything. However, if you are not talented, your audience will reject you and you will surely be aware of it.

Baba would get edit of the previous day shoot. When I was shooting for Teri Meri Kahani, he would get up at 8 in the morning. Every morning I would wait for his message. If I was good he would appreciate me otherwise he would tell me where I was not good.
About Ruposh
Haroon described how grateful he is for the response he has received for Ruposh. He talked about an incident where his cousin told him about a 20-day old baby who was named after his character Salar.
A lot of effort was put into the telefilm and everyone worked really hard, he added.
It was 20 days of madness. We were working day and night.

I got a lot of DMs and read many comments that Salar’s story is our story. The character (Salar) has learned a lot from his mistake. It would be wrong if Salar wasn’t shown to have changed but that was done in the telefilm.

Views On Marriage
Haroon believes in marriage and when asked why the young generation has a negative take on marriage, he mentioned several reasons; the youth of today does not want to take responsibility and only wants to have fun, while others are too afraid to go to their parents and confess that they like someone. He also added that there are unrealistic expectations set by the parents, making it hard for people to get married.
When asked about the kind of woman he would want to get married to, he had this to say:
She needs to be smart, intelligent and have a sense of humor. Also I should be able find a best friend in her.

Future Plans
Haroon plans on pursuing acting full-time. He said that he is ambitious about acting and has projects lined up once he graduates in April. Haroon is cautious about choosing projects as he wants to live up to the expectations of his audience, especially after Ruposh. He also mentioned that he will work internationally and has given some auditions in Toronto as well.
