Dobara turns interesting once more after giving us a few slow-paced episodes. Mahir manipulates Mehroo intelligently, and she has blind faith in him now. Mehroo & Mahir becoming close unknowingly makes us think of this song… “Ek Vaari dil lag jaane dey, dil da qaraar bun jawaan gi”.

Appreciation for writer Sarwat Nazir for writing Mahir’s character with a flourish & director Danish Nawaz for executing it so well that we can no longer dismiss Maahir as just a run-of-the-mill negative character who instigates conspiracies.
He is manipulating Mehroo’s thoughts very sharply. He has a logical take on issues so that he stands corrected & matters are also addressed in his favour. He is taking all the right steps e.g. not firing the two office employees & advising Affan to behave respectfully. This positive attitude plus his mehroomi from his parents makes us overlook his insincerity towards Mehroo. It actually makes us go into denial just like Mehroo, that maybe, he is sincere with her?
Are Mehroo’s Children Being Too Childish?

Affan with his arrogant, childish & impulsive behaviour fails to gain our sympathy. We wish he would think more about his mother. But at the end of the day, he is probably his father’s son?

Minal is turning out to be another disappointment, though she is showing more maturity in handling Mahir’s situation. She is justified that if Mahir is not sincere with Mehroo, they need to unearth his plans & be near Mehroo to do so.
Shedding Light On Realities
Most importantly, the drama makes a comeback in highlighting the double standards of society:
- Women should take care of themselves for their own sake.
- Women with older husbands take care of themselves too so let’s not assume women with younger husbands are doing it because they experience pressure to appear younger
- Let’s not be judgemental & prove to be perhay likhay jahil. Live and let live.
- Kisi ki maan ya kisi ki behan ka hawala day ker hum kub tuk muzak uratay rehain gey?
Noteworthy Performances From Bilal Abbas & Hadiqa Kiani.

The episode belonged to Bilal Abbas who has portrayed Mahir’s blurred lines immaculately, making us sympathetic & doubting him at the same time.
The final scene was beautifully shot & directed by Danish Nawaz.
Phuppo is scheming to convince Sehar to use the woman card & cast doubt on Mahir’s character & we are so not looking forward to it.
