Chauraha highlights how a brother’s understanding & support rather than a resort to anger & violence can be the saving grace for a sister! Scroll down to catch up on FUCHSIA’s review of Chauraha’s latest episode.

Lesson learned
It’s wise to ask your family for support & help when you’re in trouble no matter how scared you feel of the consequences you might face afterwards. It’s better to face their anger now rather than deal with worse consequences later, because … they will discover the truth eventually but by that time, it might be too late for you!
We love how Junaid and Naila’s sibling bond is depicted in the drama. Despite the fact that Naila fears her brother’s temper, she tries to respect his wishes. Junaid too, initially, (when he found out about Naila’s relationship), although he is angry at his sister, is willing to get her married to the guy if he brings his family over.
Even though Junaid’s positive actions might be attributed to his own sense of guilt, (which makes us wonder if he would have been so understanding towards his sister otherwise), the narrative consciously chose to keep away from toxicity in the brother-sister relationship and shows us where we can go only if we choose to heal and advise with love rather than violence or force. Shout-out to writer Edison Idrees Masih and director Aehsun Talish for saying it so well.
