Pakistan’s Civil Awards Ceremony celebrates the achievements of individuals on 23rd March, who have made significant contributions to the country.

On Pakistan Day (March 23), President Dr. Arif Alvi presented civil awards to 135 individuals, both Pakistani citizens and foreign nationals, in honor of their outstanding achievements and bravery in their respective fields. The investiture ceremony took place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad and was attended by cabinet members, diplomats, and family members of the recipients.
Nishan-i-Imtiaz
Qavi Khan
Qavi Khan was Pakistani film and television actor who has worked in the Pakistani entertainment industry for over five decades. He is still known for his versatile acting skills in television dramas like “Andhera Ujala,” “Durr-e-Shahwar,” “Aangan,” and “Ishq Jalebi.” This year, he received Nishan-i-Imtiaz award for his excellence performance throughout his life. The Pakistani entertainment industry and fans miss him dearly.
Jahangir Khan

Jahangir Khan dominated the sport of squash in the 1980s and early 1990s, winning a record 10 British Open titles, six World Open titles, and countless other championships. He remained unbeaten in competitive play for a remarkable five and a half years, winning a total of 555 matches in a row, a record that still stands to this day. He received Nishan-i-Imtiaz award this year, for his success in squash. Jahangir Khan’s successes are what dreams are made of. Pakistan was recognized as the Squash champions of the world for many consecutive years due to his achievements.
Jansher Khan

Jansher Khan is a former Pakistani professional squash player known for his speed, agility, shot-making ability, and for his competitiveness & mental toughness on the court. He quickly rose to prominence in the sport and went on to dominate the game in the 1990s, winning a total of eight World Open titles between 1987 and 1996. He also won six British Open titles and four Asian Games gold medals during his career. He is awarded with Nishan-i-Imtiaz this year for his brilliance in squash.
Hilal-i-Imtiaz
Bilquis Edhi

Bilquis Edhi is a prominent Pakistani humanitarian and philanthropist who co-founded the Edhi Foundation with her late husband, Abdul Sattar Edhi. She has been actively involved in social work for over five decades, and has received numerous awards, including the Ramon Magsaysay Award and the Peace Award from the Pakistan Red Crescent Society. This year, she has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz posthumously by the President. Her services to the nation leave us in her debt forever.
Muhammad Ramzan Chhipa

Muhammad Ramzan Chhipa is a Pakistani social worker and philanthropist who is known for his work in helping the poor and needy in Karachi, Pakistan. He is the founder and chairman of the Chhipa Welfare Association, a non-profit organization. Chippa’s work has earned him numerous recognitions, including the President’s Pride of Performance Award. But this year, he was honored with Hilal-i-Imtiaz award.
Amjad Islam Amjad

Amjad Islam Amjad is best known for his poetry and literary work, which has been widely acclaimed both in Pakistan and around the world. His poetry is known for its simplicity and emotional depth, and it often deals with themes of love, loss, and the human condition. The poet won several awards for his work as a screenwriter, including the Pride of Performance award but this year, he was awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz.

Fakhr-e-Alam
Fakhr-e-Alam is a Pakistani media personality, television host, actor, and singer. He is also known for his humanitarian work, and he has been involved in several charitable initiatives in Pakistan. The host has won numerous accolades for his contributions to Pakistani media & culture, including the Pride of Performance award but this year he was honored by Sitara-i-Imtiaz. Fakhr e Alam brings a spark to every event he hosts and uses his social media handle to spread awareness and influence for the good – a proud Pakistani, we are proud to have him as our ambassador.
Behroze Sabzwari

Behroze Sabzwari is a prominent Pakistani actor who has worked in the Pakistani film and television industry for several decades. Some of Sabzwari’s most memorable roles include his performances in television dramas such as “Tanhaiyan,” “Ankahi” and “Zinadagi Gulzar Hai” as well as airing recently “Yunhi.” He has received several awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Lux Style Awards but has been honored with Sitara-i-Imtiaz this year. His services to the entertainment industry span decades and he has played some iconic roles over time, juggling both comedy and sober with great skill.
Riaz Shahid

Riaz Shahid was a Pakistani film director, producer, and screenwriter known for his innovative techniques & storytelling methods. He worked on several successful films, including “Zarqa” and “Badnaam,” and made his directorial debut with the film “Taj Mahal” in 1963. Shahid received several awards for his work in Pakistani cinema, including the Nigar Award for Best Director & Best Screenplay but this year he was awarded with Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
Babar Azam
Babar Azam is a professional cricketer from Pakistan cricket team. Azam is regarded as one of the best batsmen and has consistently been among the top-ranked batsmen in international cricket. He has received several accolades, including the Sir Vivian Richards Award for ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade in 2021. Thus, this year, he has been awarded with Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his sportsmanship.
Tamgha-i-Imtiaz
Bismah Maroof
Bismah Maroof is a professional cricketer from Pakistan known as one of the best all-rounders in women’s cricket and has played a crucial role in many of Pakistan’s victories. Maroof has received several awards and accolades for her performances on the cricket field, including the PCB Women’s Cricketer of the Year award in 2019. But this year, she has been honored with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for her astonishing performance on field.
