Samiya’s quiet strength is endearing and makes you respect her for being considerate about her parents – mother, to be more specific. It is refreshing to see a character who does not bear you down with her sacrificial spirit and her helplessness, yet she is also not the typical rebellious girl.
5. Sajal Aly As Aliya in Kuch Ankahi
We loved Aliya, and how Sajal made her just like all of us. Aliya is determined, yet considerate and caring with her family. But then there is this ferocious side to her when someone tries to step into her domain or take away what she feels belongs to her.
6. Bilal Abbas Khan As Salman in Kuch Ankahi
A refreshing portrayal of Salman who has a soft heart under his sarcastic, competitive and a bit proud exterior. Bilal’s comic timing was just on point without any exaggerated expressions and made us laugh out loud.
7. Iqra Aziz as Laila in Aik Thi Laila
What a heart-warming performance by Iqra as Laila. We loved the part where she sits with Sajid in the jeep and then walks in the rain barefoot.
