Which actor blew you away this week with their performance?
1. Pehli Si Mohabbat – Aslam Sahib, Kya Baat Hai!
Sheheryar Munawar as Aslam gave a heartwarming performance. He made us both cry & laugh. And then we rooted for his true filmy-style heroism. Hero goals are complete when Romeo calls off his engagement & makes a beeline for his beloved – well done there Romeo aka Aslam. Sheheryar you pulled that off pretty well, if we may say so!
2. Raqs-e-Bismil – Our Hero Moosa
Imran Ashraf as Moosa, kiya jazbakiya josh… we loved the ‘Angry Young Man’ side of Moosa … and we’re so thrilled to anticipate how the character of Moosa is going to develop further and the fact that he IS growing, with every plot twist – well done there Imran Ashraf – rooting for you!
3. Raqs-e-Bismil: Issa, Aap To Chaa Gaye!
The transition of Momin Saqib’s character as Issa into a more responsible, determined & somewhat joshila young man is definitely worth mentioning. To take on a challenging role and deliver it convincingly onscreen is what you’ve done Momin Saqib, and aced it – we’re loving Issa from then to now!
4. Sana Javed in Dunk – Amal, Do We Love Or Dislike You? Wah!
Wah, kiya sharply she portrays the devious yet endearing Amal. The very slight hint of a smile when Safeer tells her about standing up against Haider was, oh so brilliant. The game-planner in you is arousing our curiosity, what’s up next, you have us guessing!
5. Shehnai: Zainab Jee, Kya Acting Hai!
Love the dewaraani who is busy scheming against the jaith & jaithani – so cunning, yet so much fun to watch. Zainab jee, aap aaj kal negative roles ker rehi hain, but you’re definitely killing them!
6. Khuda Aur Mohabbat – Shameen Khan
Shameen Khan as Sajal is a pleasure to watch on screen. The minute she comes appears, she catches our attention & blows us away with her ‘so natural’ acting
7. Pehli Si Mohabbat – Saba Faisal
The pain of a mother witnessing her two sons quarrel, the quiet resignation of a mother before her sons … Saba Faisal jee bus aankh num thee aap key saath! We are enjoying her in a positive yet, very true-to-life motherly roles – stuck between the two most precious people in her life. You made us feel for Akram & Aslam’s mother.
8. Dunk – Shahood Alvi
The impactful dialogues he delivered to Haider, the way he suddenly softened because of Amal … brilliant & convincing performance. You did not have to resort to loud hysterics or raising your tone – the secret was in the control – and you had loads of it. Well done there, we’re loving the disappointed father figure in you!
9. Dunk – Azekah Daniel
Minaal jee aap ney to dil jeet liya, aap ki kahsmakash, aap ka dukh at Haider’s rejection & then aapka halka sa shermana when Haider agrees,… hum mar Mittay! Well done there Azekah! You have aced Minal!
