Samsung has officially expanded its popular mid-range smartphone lineup with the launch of the Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G.

Two devices designed to bring near-flagship features to a much more affordable price bracket. Announced on March 25, 2026, these smartphones aim to deliver powerful performance, improved cameras, premium designs, and long-term software support without stepping into flagship territory.

In classic Samsung fashion, the company is doubling down on what it does best – offering reliable, stylish, and feature-packed smartphones for everyday users. The Galaxy A-series has long been Samsung’s most successful lineup globally, and the A37 and A57 are the latest attempts to dominate the mid-range market in 2026.

Let’s break down everything you need to know about these two new phones.

A Familiar Design – But More Premium Than Ever

At first glance, the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 look very similar to their predecessors. Samsung is sticking with its signature Galaxy A-series design language: a sleek body, a vertically aligned triple-camera module, and minimalistic aesthetics.

However, there are some notable improvements. The Galaxy A57 features a premium aluminum frame and glass back protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, giving it a more flagship-like feel. It’s also impressively slim at around 6.9 mm thick and weighs just 179 grams, making it one of the thinner mid-range phones Samsung has produced.

The Galaxy A37, meanwhile, keeps things more budget-friendly with a plastic frame but still retains a modern and polished look. Samsung has clearly tried to ensure both phones feel stylish and durable without drastically increasing the price.

Another highlight: the A57 now includes IP68 water and dust resistance, a feature that’s still relatively rare in mid-range smartphones.

Big Displays Made for Streaming and Gaming

Samsung is known for its displays, and these two phones continue that tradition.

Both the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling, vibrant colors, and excellent brightness.

For users who love watching Netflix, gaming, or scrolling through social media, these displays should feel incredibly fluid and immersive. Samsung has also improved brightness levels, allowing the screens to remain visible even under direct sunlight.

In short, despite being mid-range devices, these phones deliver a display experience that feels surprisingly premium.

Performance: New Chips Under the Hood

One of the biggest upgrades this year comes in the performance department.

The Galaxy A57 5G is powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 chipset, designed to deliver stronger performance, improved graphics, and better AI capabilities. The chip is paired with up to 12GB of RAM, making multitasking smoother and allowing the phone to handle demanding apps more easily.

The Galaxy A37 5G, on the other hand, runs on the Exynos 1480 processor. While slightly less powerful than the A57’s chip, it still provides solid performance for everyday tasks such as gaming, streaming, and productivity.

Both phones support 5G connectivity, ensuring faster downloads, smoother streaming, and better network reliability.

Cameras That Punch Above Their Weight

Camera performance is always a big selling point in the mid-range market, and Samsung has made sure these phones don’t disappoint.

Both devices feature a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), enabling sharper photos and better low-light performance. The phones also include improved image processing that enhances color accuracy and reduces noise in darker environments.

The camera setup includes:

  • 50MP main camera (with OIS)
  • Ultra-wide camera (12MP on A57, 8MP on A37)
  • 5MP macro camera
  • 12MP front camera for selfies

Samsung has also integrated its Nightography technology, which uses AI to enhance nighttime photography. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps, making these phones capable content-creation tools for casual creators.

Battery Life That Lasts All Day

Battery life is another area where Samsung is playing it safe – but in a good way.

Both the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 come with a 5,000mAh battery, which should comfortably last a full day of typical usage. Whether you’re watching videos, gaming, or browsing social media, battery anxiety shouldn’t be an issue.

Even better, Samsung has equipped the phones with 45W fast wired charging, meaning you can quickly top up the battery when needed. However, wireless charging is still missing – one of the few premium features that Samsung continues to reserve for its flagship devices.

Smarter Software and AI Features

On the software side, both phones ship with Android 16 and Samsung’s One UI 8.5 interface out of the box.

Samsung has also added a range of AI-powered features, including:

  • Circle to Search
  • AI voice assistants (including Gemini integration)
  • AI transcription tools
  • Improved voice commands and smart search functions

Perhaps the most impressive commitment from Samsung is the six years of Android and security updates for these devices. That level of support is exceptional for mid-range smartphones and means users can keep their devices for much longer without worrying about software becoming outdated.

Price and Availability

Samsung has positioned these phones carefully within the mid-range segment.

Reports suggest pricing starts at around:

  • Galaxy A37 5G: about $449
  • Galaxy A57 5G: about $549

The devices are expected to go on sale globally starting April 2026, with different RAM and storage options available depending on the region.

The Bottom Line

With the Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G, Samsung is clearly trying to bring flagship-inspired features to a broader audience. The phones offer large AMOLED displays, powerful processors, capable cameras, fast charging, and years of software support—all at prices far below the company’s premium Galaxy S lineup.

The Galaxy A57 is the clear choice for users who want better performance, premium materials, and water resistance. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A37 offers many of the same features at a lower price, making it a strong option for budget-conscious buyers.

In a smartphone market where mid-range devices are becoming increasingly competitive, Samsung’s latest A-series launches prove that you don’t need to spend flagship money to get a seriously capable phone.
