A super intense, emotionally charged episode of 22 Qadam with some great messages and heartbreaking twists. Amu’s nikah cancelled last minute made us shed a tear. But wait, that wasn’t all, Junaid made our hearts stop for a second when he said: “I can’t feel my legs”.

Its Not Just About Cricket In 22 Qadam
If we thought 22 Qadam was all cricket and the team finally winning the game, well no. The emotional and personal drama starts now, shaking us all to our core and making 22 Qadam a truly well-rounded narrative.
Fari’s Inner Strength
We are all angry at Fari for being irresponsible and for taking things so lightly, but maybe Amu was saved last minute from a relationship that she would have regretted later. What was interesting was, to see Fari telling her mom not to get Amu married. Though Fari knew what happened was wrong, but what Amu was going to do was even worse. We admire this courage in Fari’s character; that despite feeling so guilty and rightly so, she will not compromise or make another mistake because of a mistake she made earlier. However, this could have been balanced better if Fari was shown to be more remorseful and regretful about her previous actions.
Amu’s Fight
Amu’s angry outburst was heartfelt. We felt her pain. Amazing and mention-worthy performance by Kinza Razzak, which must have represented what many girls go through. The entire rishta and tea serving process which exhausts girls, takes a toll on their self-respect, the feedback and commentary on them as possible candidates destroy their mental peace and affects the mental health of so many girls.
Junaid’s Heartbreak
Well, if we all thought Amu was the one, we would be crying for or had cried enough for, we were wrong. Junaid came on screen to completely break our hearts. The drama gradually built up the situation with Junaid. Initially, it seemed that he had suffered a minor accident, our emotions heightened as we saw him panicking and disoriented about being in hospital, all building up to him uttering: “I can’t feel my legs”. And at that moment, we are hit hard with a painful reality as we shed involuntary tears to try and grasp the gravity of his condition.
Bravo 22 Qadam, for taking us through such an emotional roller coaster.
Just Two Points To Note In 22 Qadam
We wish the episode had been crisper, it felt unnecessarily stretched at certain places like the bus scene could have been skipped, the repetitive rant of Fari’s mother as well. Secondly, when Junaid was panicking and crying out continuously, Liza should have called a doctor. It seemed strange why she was not calling the doctor when Junaid clearly needed to be calmed down with the help of medical personnel. If the intention was to create more impact and stress, that could have been done with a doctor present as well.
