Drama Mamas are ruling our TV screens this season – right? They occupy the heart of what is good in this world and we couldn’t help but give you our top 3 super lovable Moms! (there are many more, we agree, and we’ll touch on those too)! For now, we found inspiration in Anaya’s mom in Sabaat, Rakshi’s mom in Pehli Si Mohabbat and in Haider’s mom in Dunk. We love you all three with the bottom of our hearts, jee!

Who is your favourite mom in the Pakistani drama’s? Check out why we love these three moms!
1. Anaya’s Mom In Sabaat
We love the way she stayed dignified after Anaya’s father passed away in Sabaat. Her plan to adopt a young boy aftre Anaya’s husband passed away was so very endearing, it gave new goals for aging parents who look outwards to complete their lives, despite reaching a challenging age in life themselves – guess you gotta give love to get love – life lessons!
We admired her fortitude after a spouse’s death and how she stood behind Anaya like a solid rock when her marriage took a drastic turn! She was an ordinary woman, with extraordinary values!
Love you, Seemi Raheel jee!

2. Haider’s Mom In Dunk
She has stood by her son when the entire household was against him. She believes in him despite his apparent wrong decisions. She has made us feel the pain in her eyes. We are quite sure that she will continue supporting Haider and not leave him alone!
Laila Wasti, you have slipped into the role like a natural, we feel your confusion, yet your unwavering trust in a son you have faith in.

3. Rakshi’s Mom In Pehli Si Mohabbat
Nargis jee, you are pure love. Her relentless stand for Rakshi despite the fact that she’s not even her real mother melts our hearts. We love how writer Faiza Iftikhar broke stereotypes surrounding stepmoms. Not all stepmoms are evil, she is a woman before anything else – and women can and do have the power to do good for each other – Nargis is a true and pure example of that!

Rabia Butt, you have taken on this role with so much inspiration that we’re humbled. Every woman seems to relate to a hard truth uttered by your very pure soul – may we learn to be strong, loving, steadfast and sublime – like all the drama moms we have grown to love!
Happy Mothers day, folks!
Note to self: There are many more Drama moms who could have made the cut – give us time, we’ll get to them too. But for now, tell us who you’d add to the list!
