Azaan Sami Khan shares more about why he made a self-titled album, who he still wishes to collaborate with and what his typical Saturday night looks like.
Azaan Sami Khan is a Pakistani music composer, singer and actor. With stardom running through his blood, he is the son of the famous musician Adnan Sami Khan and the iconic, actress Zeba Bakhtiar. Azaan began his musical career at a young age. He learned to play the piano and guitar at the age of 10. He also began composing music at a young age. His first composition was for a television commercial when he was 12 years old.
Khan has composed music for several films and television shows. He has won several awards for his music, including the Lux Style Award for Best Music Composer in 2023. Versatile in his talents, he even made his acting debut in the 2022 television series “Ishq-e-Laa”. He has also appeared in the films “Dum Mastam” and “Parwaaz Hai Junoon”. A true musical star in Pakistan’s music industry, he is versatile in his genres, music styles and sound.
He has just released his new, self titled album: Azaan The Album! The album features a track list of 8 brand-new, varied songs, that cover different, vibes and feels. Viewers and listeners are in for a visual and musical treat as Azaan navigates a multitude of characters and moods. With rich, visually superior music videos Azaan seems to have spared no expense in the production of this album, evident of his dedication to providing listeners and the industry with a premium audio-visual experience.

We got a chance to have a quick chat with him as he came in to FUCHSIA HQ! Here are 10 questions we asked Azaan Sami Khan!
1. What does your typical Saturday night look like?
He keeps it fairly simple!
Azaan Sami Khan: Either out with my friends or watching something at home!
2. What motto do you live by?
Azaan Sami Khan: Keep getting better!
3. Which song are you humming these days?
He really isn’t a hummer guys! He said he really isn’t humming anything these days so when we asked could it perhaps be a song from his album, he laughed and cautioned “no, I am not that narcissistic!”
4. Is there still one artist you would love to collaborate with if you had a chance to?
Azaan Sami Khan: Adele!

5. What was in your mind while you composed Beby?
Azaan Sami Khan: Mentally, its summing up all the relationships that shouldn’t have worked!

6. How do you make the tune? Do you go for a walk, sit alone in a room or listen to other songs for inspiration?
Azaan Sami Khan: It depends…he laughed and shared: “there are times in very awkward situations, an idea comes and I just want to go with it and then there are times when for some songs you sit down consciously. It varies, when I was younger and I was starting out, it used to be much more sporadic, when randomly stuff would come but now its a mix of both.”
7. You chose to make it a self titled album, do all the songs encompass all sides of your personality? What was the reason?
Azaan Sami Khan: Initially I didn’t make it a self-titled album and I felt that I will name it after one song and then I felt that might typecast the whole album which is why I went and researched other artists. When they make an album which is a little more random, a little more erratic, it sort of represented them in many ways, they end up calling it a self titled album. For me, it was more like I didn’t want the album to just become one thing so I made it a self-titled album!

9. When you are excited, getting ready?
Azaan Sami Khan: Smooth Criminal By Michael Jackson! (If you can’t tell already, Azaan is clearly a huge Michael Jackson fan)
10. Your song pick for long drives?
Azaan Sami Khan: Ajj Rung Hai By Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saab!
