A girl disguised as a man falls in love with her boss. Add in the struggle to achieve something in life with a touch of romance and voila, you have a heart-winning story. Bakhtawar and Dilawer ki kahani has caught our attention.

Bakhtawar finds herself enjoying her work life and also feels attracted towards Dilawar. It was a sad moment when Bakhtu responds that he won’t continue the job and Bakhtawar wishes she could meet Dilawar as Bakhtawar.
Noori has eyes on Bakhtawar and it is interesting to see how it makes Bakhtu so uncomfortable. It also brings a smile to our faces.
Yumna Zaidi Never Fails To Impress Us
Yumna Zaidi is doing a fabulous job as Bakhtu and Bakhtawar. The way she slips into the boyishness of Bakhtu and ensures she takes her audience along for the ride is commendable. It is very easy for us to swing our minds from Bakhtawar to Bakhtu, thanks to her swift role shift. Also, the subtle yet noticeable details add to the believability e.g. when Dilawer pats Bakhtu on the shoulder, he doesn’t move away immediately but appears slightly uncomfortable and stiffens just a bit.
Lekin Bakhtu, if they ask for your ID card toh kiya hoga?
The drama highlights a significant issue – the treatment and challenges of men who are not very masculine in their appearance. We are made aware of the judgment and stereotypical comments they face and how people look down upon them.
The drama opts to highlight, through a female character, the harsh treatment or challenges such men encounter in everyday life, which makes it not only interesting but also more effective.
Interestingly enough, the narrative now has us fully invested not only in Bakhtawar’s story, but also Bakhtu’s. Shout out to an intriguing script – both characters seem to have their own journey despite being the same person.
