A refreshing tale of love and family bonds taking us back to simple and basic things like Burns road, Daboo and Mal Pura. The love story with conversations between Farhaad and Freeya featuring “ Phir and Phur”.

What we love most about the drama is that it is simple yet very interesting. The story is not out of the box yet the execution and treatment of the script is what sets it apart and give it its own unique flavour. For a change we see the Memon community being featured, their lifestyle and their traditions.
Older & New Generation
Another thing common between Freeya and Farhaad’s families is the conflict between the older and new generation. Where the older generation of elders in the family are still focused on living their life according to their traditions and old practices, the new generation has a different point of view and approach – may it be Farhaad wanting to change the way his father runs the business or Freeya choosing to like someone outside her “Biradari”.
We are loving the Freeya and Farhaad interactions and conversations. They are simple and relatable. His confession and her scaring him humorously were both heart winning. When Farhaad catches Freeya and stops her from falling, we get a cute romantic moment.
Filmy Feel
Well, guess what,. BRKRJ is turning out to be a complete love story, with love, humour, zalim samaaj and action. The whole scene of Farhaad playing Daboo and then reacting to protect that child from abuse was well executed. The slow-mos, the action and the fight all gave us full on “filmy feel”. We appreciate the effort being made to take production to another level.
While Freeya has dared to love someone outside her community and Farhaad has ventured into liking someone beyond his family’s realm, unknown to them, the fathers can’t stand each other.
Shahzain’s response was a bit of a surprise and disappointing too. Will Kiran stand up to Shahzain and fight for herself and Farhaad like she did for him in front of Farhaad or will she silently suffer all that is about to happen, simply because she fought for this marriage and now can’t bear to face that her decisions were wrong.
The orange kurta and shirt were definitely our favourites and made us smile. Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet is your comfort watch to chill and smile.
