With Zaryab and Abu Bakar’s nikkah just around the corner, Dar-e-Nijaat has reached the point where Zamil’s desperation is once again threatening to disturb Zaryab’s life.
After finding out that the woman he once left behind is now preparing to marry Abu Bakar, Zamil has been restless, calling her repeatedly and trying to get another chance to speak to her.
The most interesting thing about this whole scenario is Zaryab’s reaction to it. In spite of all that has transpired between the two of them, she has not sealed off her heart towards Zamil completely, her journey resonates with young people who connect with her troubled state of mind at present. At the same time, through her eaelier interaction with Abu Bakar, it becomes clear that there are many things weighing heavily upon her. Even when Abu Bakar asked her if she had made this decision of her own free will, Zaryab felt ashamed and unworthy of him.
And now, with Zaryab requesting that Zamil meet her before 4:30pm and only after divorcing Hamna, comes the ultimate question: what exactly does Zaryab want from this final meeting?
Here are a few possibilities we cannot stop thinking about.
A Final Test To See If Zamil Will Actually Fight For Her?
Could this meeting be Zaryab’s last attempt to understand just how serious Zamil is about her? He has spent so much time talking about his feelings, but will he actually take responsibility and make a real decision when it matters? Maybe Zaryab wants to see whether his words finally translate into action.
A Harsh Reality Check To Prove He Won’t Show Up?
It is also possible that Zaryab knows the answer already. In light of all that Zamil has done to her, maybe she just wants to give him one last chance, knowing that he might fail to grab it. If he fails to turn up by the deadline, would it finally bring closure for her?
The Ultimate Rejection: NO To Zamil And YES To Abu Bakar?
It is also possible that Zaryab might want to meet Zamil so as to convey her message to him. She had experienced enough by sticking to Zamil regardless of everything that was going around her, whereas Abu Bakar had presented her with an entirely new perspective. Could this meeting be an attempt to inform Zamil that she will now choose Abu Bakar, despite the fact that he, Zamil finally came for her?
A Change Of Heart: Will Zaryab Call Off The Nikkah?
And then there is the big chance! What happens if Zamil does appear? It is evident that Zaryab is not entirely detached from her past, and the fact that she continues to receive and listen to his messages suggests that there are unresolved issues in her mind. She is still emotionally weak and drawn to him, not totally over the heartbreak. Could seeing him one final time make her question whether she is genuinely ready to marry Abu Bakar?
And Why Did Zamil Meet Abu Bakar?
Zamil’s reaction to Abu Bakar’s presence says a lot about where he stands right now. There is a certain male ego in the way he reacts to Abu Bakar, as if seeing another man willing to marry Zaryab has triggered his insecurities again.
Zamil expected Abu Bakar, whom he considers a religious man, to react to the news that Zaryab had been with Zamil. He expected Abu Bakar to bsck away from the marriage. But he’s taken aback by Abu Bakar’s calm reaction.
Now the clock is ticking. Will Zamil reach Zaryab before 4:30, and if he does, how will she choose to act?
