This Ramazan drama is turning out to be quite the fun fest; from laugh moments to relationship struggles between young and old, Dekh Zara Pyar Se is friendship coded, with a slow-burn romance and a comedy of errors that keeps the pace just right. If you’re not watching yet, here’s what you’re in for – we give you a story breakdown to help you decide if this one’s for you.

Rumaila and Zoraiz’s dada and nana respectively are childhood friends and have planned to get their grandchildren married to each other. Now although out hero and heroine have encountered each other on mutiple “conicidental” moments recently, they are not aware that he/she is the one their grandparents have picked for them.
What follows is an endearing story of tender moments and a comedy of errors as well as an unplanned roadtrip that has audiences smiling at their television screens. Rumaila comes from a broken family, Zoraiz’s parents passed away when he was very young and this is possibly the bond these two young people will share as they navigate family expectations, with all the desi sheningans and plot twists as well as loads of drama.
Zoraiz has already fallen for Rumaila who has promised her grandfather that she will marry the boy of his choice, not knowing that Zoraiz is the one. Both of them have not met or seen each other, even though Zoraiz’s father is under the impression that he has seen the girl and agreed to marry happily.
The story also delivers warm friendship coded moments with besties Wareesha and Sukaina by Rumi’s side and Kashan with Zoraiz. The drama meter rises as Zoraiz says ‘no’ to the marriage, not knowing it is actually Rumi he is marrying. But the story keeps us entertained as he lives as a tenant in Rumi’s dadi’s house, where she has gone to stay now. Neither of them knows of the other’s presence in the same premises and the near misses are fun to watch.
Dekh Zara Pyar Se keeps things light yet meaningful by reminding us of the significance of a stable upbringing, parents who are present in their children’s lives and the love and warmth that grandparents bring to the lives of those children who are deprived of their parents in early life.
