Dobara, the Hadiqa Kiani, and Bilal Abbas starrer took us through an emotional rollercoaster. The drama has had its fair share of ups and downs (mostly downs towards the end). When fans saw Mahir cheating on Mehru and potentially marrying Nermeen, they were convinced there was no coming back for his character. Many wondered if the makers will be able to salvage his character and the story’s message, which was always an older woman marrying a young man, in the last episode.

Dobara’s last episode aired last night, so of course, its avid viewers turned to Twitter to announce their verdict. Some loved the ending while others weren’t so convinced. Nonetheless, we have handpicked tweets from both sides of the argument. Scroll down to find the tweets!
Those Who Loved The Ending!
“Mahir didn’t go back to mehru coz he found about narmeen’s bad intentions .. he didn’t go back to mehru coz he found out mehru built a hospital on his father’s name ..but he went back to her only & only for love .. that’s exactly the thing i loved the most”
“#DOBARA: wow! An out of the box story. Real. Believable. Entertaining. What a classy ending to a story that breaks taboos against #ageism & marrying a woman older than the man. Brilliant acting esp @bilalabbas_khan. He is the finest actor we have in his generation.”
“okay, yes they did ruin mahir for me but im kinda okay with it ??? because the. end. β€πππππ”
“Dobara” was not just a drama but was a lesson. There is no limitations and excuses in Love and marriage. Lover is the one who accept you as it is as you are.
I love the character of Meher un Nissa and
@Hadiqa_Kiani
was no doubt a perfect choice for this.”
“I wish every married man should relaise how much his wife loves him and this relationship is beautiful more than anything anyone and every other woman should also feel remorse for setting fire to a beautiful house and family πͺ”
“The last scene of Mehur and Maahir was so cute and funny I just loved itππ. I just wanted this amazing end of drama β€οΈ”
“Mahir mere jaaan last episode ne to dil he khush krdea tha.itna dukh lga wa tha k char khrab krdea but thank God ππππππ”
The Naysayers
“There was no need to show
@Hadiqa_Kiani
as an old chashmato aunty. Totally senseless. She looked so good through out the serial #Dobara”
“#Dobara What was that ? What a badly managed ending I give Bilal Credit for the last scene in the Park but honestly Lot of unresolved issues , conversations not had & gaps Terribly disappointing”
“Iβm still confused. He wanted to leave Mehru? But had a change of heart coz of the daughter? Did he find out Nermeen was evil? What happened?”
“#Cheekh was a lost opportunity as well. Started off well but became victim to stretching like #Dobara“
“Drama serial Dobara finally came to its conclusion on a good note but also left a bad taste. Tbh Mahir does not deserve Mehru at all but somehow he manages to redeem himself. Performances are brilliant. This might not be a perfect ending but itβs a good one.”
“@tomtomatoe I agree with your thoughts on the ending on #Dobara. The makers were so keen to give a happy ending, they overlooked everything. Theirs conversations to be had, theirs still some tension there. The main thing is if he loves her, why did he want to marry someone else?”
“Left around the 15th episode and after that the debacle started. Feel sorry for Bilal Abbas given the actor that he is most of the dramas under his names become disasters around the midmark whether it be Cheekh, Dunk and now Dobara. #Dobara #BilalAbbasKhan“
“Bewafai is shown so causally in our dramas We need to understand women are cheated by their partners and they go through several emotions and feelings 1. Betrayed 2. Insecure 3.Broken 4. Lose confidence 5. Become self less to make idiots happy 6. Fooled 7. Furniture”
“His first husband use to read letters and look at his ex pictures. Mahir nai khulam khulla cheating ki behis ho kai and this all doesnβt make sense because the Mahir last 4 eps was out of character”
