Dil e Momin is off to an engaging start, the first two episodes were interesting to watch, didn’t bore us at all & the pace was fast.
Story
Momin’s family is religiously inclined, with Momin himself regularly going to the masjid & also giving the Azaan. He is interested in his cousin played by Momal Sheikh, but his student, Maya, in his new lecturer job, has fallen for him. Maya’s friend Gohar is not happy with her interest in Momin.
About The Characters
Faysal Qureshi proves yet again that he is a versatile actor & there is no role that he cannot deliver with perfection. After watching him as Momin, you will forget Haider, that’s how different he makes each of his characters.
It is a refreshing change to see Madiha Imam in a role that is not submissive or becharee. Maya is supposed to be a negative character but credit must be given to the director & Madiha for executing the role in such a way that you actually like Maya & develop a soft corner for her.
We are told that Gohar was shooting Dil e Momin & Lapata at the same time. We are so impressed at how he managed to maintain two entirely different looks & feel for the two dramas. We see Gohar as Gohar who loves Maya with a youthful attitude, sense of jealousy & sensitivity.
Momal Sheikh wins your heart with her gentle look & firm attitude. She is outspoken yet respectful & keeps giving Momin a reality check.
What we really appreciate is the drama showing positive, humble, softer & respectful images of people who are inclined towards religion which will help change stereotyping & create a better narrative.
