DuniyaPur Is JUST Warming Up, But We’re Just Waiting For Shahmir & Ana To Find Each Other!
We know it’s going to happen sooner or later (We wished sooner). That Ana & Shahmir come face to face, but this time, without a weapon in hand. What do you suppose she’ll say to him? I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to kill you? Oops, that would be the biggest most epic apology ever! On a serious note, there is much more happening in DuniyaPur other than our desire for romance. So, let’s get to it.
The More Sinister Of The Two Opponents
Nawab Dilawaiz is as evil as they come. He has his eyes on Nauroz Adam’s daughter, oh the audacity of the man. But he does have Nayab in hand for now? Did you find his demand a tad too predictable. We mean, how many Pakistani dramas have gone the same route and used the women as cattle, or means of settling a family feud? While it does reveal Nawab’s sinister mindset, which we assume, was the writer’s objective, what it also does is, make us gravitate towards Nauroz as the lesser evil of the two. Nauroz releasing the SHO and ready to give up DuniyaPur for the sake of his son already show us that he is the more humane of the two. Of course he has Nayab to set him off, a more angry, volatile combatant who is likely to be the live wire in the conflict.
Aurangzeb Adam’s Insidious Plan
Will the Nawab’s Aurangzeb chacha turn out to be the mastermind behind all the bloodshed? He seems to have instigated the entire attack, however things didn’t go as planned, as both of Nauroz’s sons are still alive. Are the clans being shortsighted in not communicating with each other and investigating who could be behind the attacks? Will Farhad and Nayab face-off in fury, leading to more ill will between the two families?
The Meet Up & Journey We’re Waiting For
It is intriguing to note that both Shahmir and Ana want no part of this violence. The fact that they represent the new generation of the DuniyaPur ruling families hints at how thing can change course if, through some act of Faith, they end up taking over the reins of power? Or will destiny force them to become ruthless, just like their predecessors. There is more in the backstory which we are curious to know as Nauroz’s mother is deeply revengeful, much has happened to make her the tough cookie she is.
Mir Hassan Reaches His Destination
Mir Hassan finally reaches his destination, and it was with a hint of amusement that we tell him deposited at the station on Nauroz’s order, almost as if the law enforcement agencies have little or no say at all I the goings on at DuniyaPur – it’s the wild, wild, west and the ahem, the sheriff, is but a figurehead. It’s evident that Mir Hassan’s role is cut out for him, and because we’ve watched the promos, we know he will soon become, or strive to become, a force to be reckoned with – looking forward to that makeover! The 2nd episode revealed a bit more of the cast as the SHO speaks to his family back home and Aurangzeb chacha’s intentions, which we suspected earlier, have now become quite clear – he has his eyes set on DuniyaPur for sure.
Visual Impact
From a visual perspective, DuniyaPur creators are making sure the eye never strays from the scene as shots are angled for maximum impact, from drone shots delivering a bird’s eye view to wide lens shots that suggest at the expansive landscape and living grandeur of the inhabitants. There is also a raw, earthy feel to the sets that complements the raw-feel of the storytelling. This, coupled with casting that blends seasoned players like Manzar Sehbai and Naumaan Ijaz with young blood like Khushhal Khan and Ali Raza, gives traction to a narrative that is also a blend of the old guard and a younger generation, ready to spread their wings onscreen, just like the characters they play onscreen.
DuniyaPur 2nd episode has managed to end the story on a hook yet again – a crucial ingredient for a thrilling watch – what happens next is anybody’s guess. Will Nauroz give up his daughter or sacrifice his son? The playing field is wide open in DuniyaPur.
