Is it too early to say too much about Dunk Drama?
Dunk delivers an engaging & fast-paced first episode. Director Badar Mehmood captures our attention with impressive sequences that move swiftly between past & present events.
Well connected scenes introduce us to all the players & the present scenario without wasting too many episodes. Sawaal yeh hai keh – kiya Dunk yeh fast pace maintain keray ga?
Did Dunk Drama First Episode take our breath away?
Though a nice change from Abdullah & EJLS, Bilal’s character carried glimpses of Wajih in the first episode.
Well, the stage is set & we won’t jump to any conclusions yet.
The Good?
Noman Ijaz, Bilal Abbas, Sana Javed are the key players here with Fahad Shaikh & Azekah on the side lines so far. Sana Javed as Amal had us on her side… she was mostly silent yet, undoubtedly, the most significant player of the game. Anyone felt they’re playing Cluedo?
Phrases like ‘Fair Trial’ & ‘Suspension while Inquiry is underway’ aptly showed us 2 sides of the issue. We’re hoping Azekah’s role will develop further in coming episodes – does she have something to hide?
Oh, and we can’t help but point out that and we had a hard time connecting Fahad Sheikh as Bilal’s ‘Elder’ brother, maybe twins would have worked better as a casting option?
It was a real pleasure to watch Noman Ejaz who kept us on edge. Is the professor innocent or not?
