Dunki has made its way to the audiences and here are the initial reviews and the unexpected drama that surrounds the movie right now…

King Khan’s film releases are no less than a celebration for his fans. Today, post the release of Dunki, fans celebrated outside the theatres as they couldn’t help but cheer and groove to SRK’s ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ song from the movie.
Dunki marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan as Hardy, Taapsee Pannu as Mannu, Boman Irani as Gulati and Vicky Kaushal as Sukhi. Dunki is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and presented by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Rajkumar Hirani has also been the director of iconic movies such as Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, PK and Sanju.
Being touted as the perfect comedy drama with Hirani’s comedy, drama and emotion coupled with SRK’s magic, there were high expectations for Dunki to be something special and as per initial reviews, it seems to have achieved maybe, just that. Audiences are praising the smooth blend of humor, emotional moments, and a strong social message while exploring the challenges of illegal immigration. One thing is for sure, the second half really sounds to be something extraordinary with the way viewers are describing it.
The Unexpected Reaction
But currently, there is much more to the Dunki hype right now. Reportedly, a cinema-goer ended up streaming about 50 minutes of the movie, live on Twitter. Shahrukh Khan fans are blaming Salman Khan fans, and in an adverse reaction, Salman Khan fans seem to be giving Shahrukh Khan fans, the star and his new movie a hard time, possibly the ones starting the SRK’s Disaster Donkey trend on twitter and ‘Throw SRK back to Pakistan’ with calls to not exclude SRK from Tiger 3. Instigating an untamable rivalry at the moment but here are some carefully sifted through viewers’ first reactions:
The Salman Khan Fans Are In Action But Is It Misplaced Anger?
Rajkumar Hirani Has Done It Again
Will Be Remembered For Ages To Come
The Final Hour Is What Makes The Movie
A Public Blockbuster
Dunki Is A Masterpiece
A Perfect Entertainer With Fun & Emotions
A Strong Emotional Core & Unmissable
An Important Tale But Far From Hirani’s Best
The Second Half Is A Delight
Now the question is, will SRK’s star power and the movie’s actual worth be sufficient to emerge unscathed from this unexpected turn of events? Will they be able to withstand the wrath of Salman Khan’s fans?
