They often speak less but do more. They feel a whole lot more than they show. But if we were to peek inside their hearts and minds, what would we discover? Yes, their actions speak louder than their words. But we asked them to put into words, how they feel, deep down inside about the most special person in their lives. It’s Father’s Day, and this year we had the chance to speak with some of our beloved Pakistani celebrities who are also proud fathers!

From feeling scared to take a flight, to wanting to rush home to the person they have grown to love unconditionally, from wanting to be better people, to knowing they can lay down their life for a tiny human being in their lives… Father’s Day brings up a whirlwind of emotions in dads. But we don’t hear them express it in words often enough. Here we give you 3 Pakistani dads who did just that. We asked them one question, and this is what we got to hear. Read on:
What changed you as a person after becoming a dad?
Omair Rana
Omair Rana: “Well, the one thing that comes to mind when I read your question would be this :
The irony of a lovely relationship like a parent-child is that when you have someone in your life you can die for, your life becomes more valuable to yourself.”
Yasir Hussain
Yasir Hussain: “I have become more scared as a person after becoming a father. Previously, I only had the fear of Allah inside my heart. But now, I feel like going home every time I get on a flight or go on a drive. It is the sense of responsibility. That I’m responsible for this life. It’s overwhelming.”
Hamza Ali Abbasi
Hamza Ali Abbasi: “I think the biggest change in me was that I have this one person constantly on my mind, his present, his future and that is my son. Woh ek insaan hai ab jo 24 ghante, every second of the day, every minute, every hour, he is on my mind. So I’ve become a very empathetic person, sympathetic person. Shahid mere mein empathy kam thi pehle. So I’ve become way more empathetic as a person since I became a father. I have started to feel things a lot. Especially I have become very caring towards how other people feel which I think was lacking in me before. So this is a change that I have experienced.”
And that’s a wrap! Father’s are indeed, the wind beneath our wings. Their presence in our lives is like a silent whisper of reassurance, a comfort, a blessing, one we often take for granted. So go give your unsung heroes a hug, because, this is their day and make sure it comes around every day!
